re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

I blame the f*cking animals with their knives. The animals that believe that beheading people is an appropriate way to send a message. People like that should not be allowed to live. Much less live free. Why should that kind of barbarianism live unchecked? I hate the fundamentalist pig-f*ckers in the Middle East.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

I am sure much was being done. The media would never report it though.

One must tread lightly with the soverign governments of the mid-east. We are learning that lesson the hard way right now. They have no value for human life in that armpit of the world.

re: vote bush out

yep, let's change our foreign policy to appease the demands of terrorists and save one life while assuring countless others to certain death. give in to their demands and watch the amount of people kidnapped and held hostage grow exponentially. folks we are not dealing with rational people who are going to say, ok thanks and walk away. they want to see a worldwide islamic empire. they want ladies in burqas and booze banned. that means no more mojitos, dame.

i'm just curious, are there any demands that folks feel we should not pay to save one life?

oh and folks, lest we forget, al qaeda's war on the united states started before gw ever set foot in the white house as president. osama's declaration of war on the united states was issued in '98.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

Papa you certainly have valid points, but I still cannot help but think we have made many missteps all along the way. You are right. They are NOT rational over there.

All around its a big huge mess & I feel for that man's family

I saw your other post....I tell everyone this has been festering for years...I do not blame Dubya alone. There is blame enough to go around

re: stepping stones

well, ruffian, missteps have been made in the middle east going all the way back to the 20's and the break-up of the ottoman empire. i think had everyone known then how reliant we would become on that area, it would have been much better cared for byt he world as a whole. that or we would have occupied it and slaughtered its people and made the 49th state (it would have preceeded alaska and hawaii). either way, a bit of foresight by the boneheads way back when could have saved us a lot of trouble today.

my prayers are with his family and loved ones for a traumatic loss.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

I am certainly no fan of George Bush but, I have to say, we cannot blame him on this one. Does anyone really think it would have made a difference one way or the other had Bush intervened and negoiated with the Saudi's to realease prisoners? This innocent man would have been killed no matter what. That's what we are dealing with, animals who have no respect for life. they would have gotten what they wanted and gone ahead and killed him anyway.

I wish we could blow the whole damn country off the planet and be done with these people once and for all. Thousands of years have not made them evolve, why pretend that there is any chance that they will in the near future? I know I can expect a lot of flack on these statements but, that's how I feel and will not apologize for it. I am sick of these people, sick of the Islamic Nation and sick of people who kill in the name of their god.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

Well Orion. I agree with you, if it matters.
I don't know if it is because I am so ANGRY by this incident or not. I am so damn ANGRY. God, I can't even string together a coherent thought. Who does this? Why should they be allowed to live?

This is an area of the world where beheading is a public execution is standard... even animals have more respect for each other. Calling them animals is a disservice to animals.

kill 'em all and let god sort 'em out

why mistah orion, i do believe you are almost ready to step over here to the war mongers table. we've got a seat open for you.

that said, i have to somehwat disagree. it was only 50-some years ago that good little blonde blue eyed germans were helping the jews off the earth and it had nothing really to do with god. if we were able to evolve from there, there's hope for everyone. but as long as generations of people grow up with no hope they'll look to god and his warriors. who would not if they were faced with the desperation that many people in iran, iraq, saudi arabia and the other nations of the persian gulf face? but, you're right, it's not going to happen anytime soon. and until islam manages to poke it's way through its own reformation, there is the potential for zealots to command more attention than they should.

When Dave and I were first married, he had the chance to work in Saudi ( for an ungodly obscene large paycheck) and he just couldn't do it. He did not want to put me through that type of he$$.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

Papa, I never thought I would be sitting on your side of the table. However, as much as I do not like Bush, think he is terrible President and think that he created a war for no good reason, I can as be fair to the man as I can with anyone else.

I honestly belive that whatver he did to try to stop this would not have madea difference. I also think the Saudi's realized this and therefore, they cannot be blamed. They would have released prisoner and an innocent person would still have been executed.

As far as the evolution from 50 years ago, I don't buy it. The Aryan Nation is still alive and kicking even in the US. I've been to Southern Germany, visited Bergstgarten, where Hitler had his summer home and I can tell you that although they are no longer killing Jews, the hatred is still there as well as the belief in Nazi ideals. So, there is some evolution in the fact that they express their hatred differently but, consider that has taken place in 50 years time and the people of Iraq have not changed in thousands of years.

I've been to Germany as well, and while no doubt there is still some Old Evil Nazi crap out there, I talked to a lot of people who somehow felt compelled to apologize over & over. I cannot blame Todays Germans for WW II Events...but I heard it everywhere ... they bear the guilt & it seemed time warpy to me. Its not their fault

Back to the Task at Hand....anyway we can jettison the Middle East off the Planet

This is all so disturbing, and so barbaric. Makes me crazy & mad

re: murdering subhuman filth

he was taken in sadui arabia, master, but there's been no definitive word on whether the kidnappers were in fact saudis. i mean chances are that they are saudi natives, but it's possible that they are getting guidance and or technical assistance from outside the kingdom. the good ol' house of saud and its early century deal with the wahhabists. boy, what fruit that relationship has wrought, eh?

Much like ckeaton, I am so angry over this that I'm not sure what I'm saying. So I may be wrong (I know, hard to belive).

Unfortunately, droping a bomb in the Middleeast would effect those countries that do not deserve it. I wonder if we can just go in, destroy everyone over age 10 and have the children raised by non violent people throughout the world. How very Herrodonian of me.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

I agree with you Dame, we need to vote him out for a number of reasons. However, this particular problem isn't going to go away once Bush does. I intend to vote for Kerry but, I don't have the confidence that he will be any more successful in dealing with the Middleeast situation. it's gone too far and is too much of a mess.

re: VOTE BUSH OUT!

There is no one to blame for this except the monsters who support and commit terror. Neither the U.S., not Saudi Arabia could give in to their demands. We can never budge on that or as papa said, all hell will break loose with demands.

Yes, the U.S. has brought the world's hatred on us, but it began way before Dubya. However, I do feel that Bush has made it the strongest it has ever been.

Wanting to blow up a country because of terrorists is not an answer--it's an honest feeling, to be sure--but we have to remember the thousands of people who do not support this behavior--men, women, and children who do not carry on this kind of evil. Else, the same logic could have been used to justify the U.S. being "blown up" for his treatment of slaves--or the activities that have taken place in Iraqi prisons. You can not fault an entire country or race of people because of the actions of a few.
