Booker will be the next governor of NJ, without a doubt, in 2014 unless he becomes a Senator before that. He's definitely the real deal. I've been impressed with this man as long as I've been reading about him.
Recently, a Newark resident had gotten shot in his car late one night. He called the Newark Police, but after 30 minutes no one had showed up to help him. As an act of desperation, he posted on Booker's twitter page. Booker responded he was on his way, picked the guy up, and drove him to a hospital.

seems like he has a steep hill to climb:
"in a statewide poll of likely voters conducted Jan. 24-26 by lansing-based epic-mra, 82 percent of those asked didn't recognize bernero's name, and he drew only single digits in a matchup with other potential democratic candidates."

Seems like a wide-open field to me.

That's a big part of why I think the GOP has a chance this time with a moderate candidate like Snyder.

@Yawper It's time to take him viral. I just put my $ where my mouth is at his campaign website. I've also been in contact with a couple of Detroit-area college alumni chapters with which I'm affiliated. He's got his work cut out for him going up against Miss Money Bags.

on one of the recordings, the consultant allegedly said, when referring to newark officials with whom they would likely be dealing, "they’re all corrupt, except for (the mayor)," according to the indictment.

Newark has a history of corruption. Cory Booker is changing that.
