#1Virgin America questions (for those who have flown on it)

Hi-

I am flying from JFK to LAX next month on Virgin America and I had some questions....

1) do they sell headsets to use with their entertainment system (i.e. the screen)? if so, how much are they? I know on delta (they have the same type of screen) , they sold them for about $2.

2) do they sell food? If so, what do they offer and how much is it?

3) are you allowed to buy food at the airport and take it on the plane?

4) was the mood lighting used during daytime flights?

Thanks for the info, everyone!!!! :)

Actually, no you can't. My friend just flew last week and they didn't allow any outside food to be brought onto the plane. They wanted the people to buy their stuff.

I LOVED flying Virgin America! It was fantastic. I flew first class, so I can't say it is this way in the back of the plane.

1) Free
2) Free
3) Yes
4) Yes

I flew from San Francisco to Las Vegas and it was a very enjoyable flight. The crew members were very nice and accommodating. I had to replace the cheap headset twice.

My flight was really short, but they still gave us free food and free drinks. They gave us a little lunch box type thing with a melon ball wrapped and prosciutto, a tomato & balsamic vinaigrette salad and a brownie with extra rich chocolate sauce. It was delicious. Snacks were provided by Archer Farms.

If you can do it, upgrade to first class. My trip wasn't too expensive, but it was one way. I'm sure its pretty steep for round trip tickets, but do what you can. The experience is not to be missed.

Those first class seats are really, really nice, too!
