As the title of this thread would suggest, I'm coming to NYC on Saturday with my sister & cousins, ages 14-18. We have a few things planned out: going to the MoMA, the High Line, Dylan's Candy Bar, & a few other points of interest. I'm keeping a lookout on Time Out New York's website. Does anybody have any suggestions for good shopping (on the cheaper side)? Is there anything going on in Manhattan that's free that we can check out? Anything that's cool that we should check out? Thanks Visit to NYC on Saturday

The quintessential discount shopping location is CENTURY 21 (22 Cortlandt Street). It's right across from Ground Zero.

For something free, check out Shakespeare in the Park. The current production playing is Euripides's THE BACCHAE. The cast includes Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening).

If you've never been to NYC, head to Times Square and grab a picture with the NAKED COWBOY. That's kinda cool. You could also grab a tour book and check out the different sites that have been used in movies (e.g., the Ghostbuster firehouse or the Friends apartment). There's also nothing wrong with window shopping along FIFTH AVENUE.

They won't get to SEE The Bacchae unless they are in line all morning. (And most 14 year olds would HATE it.)
