Hey all, I've been out of the singing loop for a bit and a friend is looking for a voice teacher to prepare for music school auditions. Her concentration is classical, not broadway or pop.
Any recommendations would be great. She lives in central NJ, so any commutable location is fine.
Thanks in advance!!

Have her look into taking lessons at Westminster Choir College (part of Princeton).
I believe Westminster is part of Rider University, not Princeton.

Yes, you're right! But it's near Princeton. I'm not that familiar with NJ geography, so I don't know how far it is from Central Jersey.
Thanks guys! Actually, she's just looking for a voice teacher, she has schools she is already looking to audition for after relocating. She just needs to get ready for the auditions...and Princeton is as far as NYC and there is no train. She's in the Red Bank area.
Anyway, I sent her to the NYSTA website which has a listing of their teachers and coaches and she found a few to check out. All of them are in the city, but it's doable via NJT.
Kimberly Kahan saved my voice. She used to teach at Bard and now teached in NYC at her own studio. She is an opera singer - went to Indiana U at the Opera Star Factory there. I highly recommend her.

I'm not sure when this was written, but I highly recommend Michael Jacobs. He completely changed my life. I considered myself a dancer who sings, and now I'm a dancer/singer. I'm on tour right now (I book a lot more jobs now), but will be back in lessons as soon as I return. He's MichaelJacobsVocalStudio.com
