Especially if it has frosting.
Does anyone need a cherry for the top?
Well we all know that it won't be you providing THAT!
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Morning Eddie...there's fresh coffee and blueberry muffins for you this morning. There's some special frosting in the container if you'd like.
Today as I woke up I was saddened to hear that Rodney Dangerfield passed away yesterday as I was a huge fan of his special brand of humor, and was lucky enough to have met him one special night many years ago...
When I was about 16 I wanted to be a stand up comic, every Thursday night I'd sneak out of my parents house, take the "el" train from the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia into the heart of Center City and hit the stages of the local comedy clubs..(of course I'd lie and say I was 18!)after signing up I'd wait in the back of the club and watch the other comics do their stuff, it was pretty amazing to see so many up and coming talents, like Dennis Miller,Andrew Dice Clay and tons of local unsung comedians work their skills in those dark smoky clubs.
Now Thursday was special because that was the night when "open mike" took place, IF you did well, you'd be asked back for the weekend, which meant you could get a spot before one of the headliners and be able to reach a bigger audience and *maybe* get seen by a booker or whatever, so one lucky Thursday I heard my name called out, stepped up on the stage (nervous but always excited and hungry to make 'em laugh) after spending a few moments detailing the comic horrors of my Mother, I was off to laughter and a pretty nice amount of clapping and yells....
As I was heading from the stage a big hand came out of nowhere and pulled me to a table, as I looked up into those eyes I at once went into shock, Rodney Dangerfield was the owner of that "hand", in that classic voice he boomed, "Kid, you really kicked their asses, hey you old enough to drink?"
He introduced me to the other guys at the table and said I should be proud, as "it ain't easy, am I right or what?"
He talked for a bit and told me he started out young too, that it's a hard life but "when ya got it ya gotta do it.."
After a few more moments the host announced that there was a special guest in the house and called out Rodney's name, in a few seconds he was on the stage going into his classic routines and the house was on fire, but before he bounded up on the little stage at the Comedy Works in downtown Philly he touched my arm and whispered, "Follow the dream kid, and don't take any sh*t, alright.."
Well I was picked by the crowd to go on that following Saturday night, had a blast, and kept at it for a few years until I found that making very drunk people laugh at 1 AM was not so inspiring, and that maybe I should "sing for my supper", plus Rodney did it better than anybody and perhaps I should leave it to the Master!
Thanks Mr. Dangerfield, and safe journey , I know you are "kicking their asses" in Heaven.

No beacon1, I won't have the honor of sharing the stage with our beloved MixmasterShay-Z, but I WILL have some suprises for the audience!
As I matter of fact I'll be reheasing later today! Believe me, the entire line-up and their inspired song choices shall be amazing..should be a wonderful night at Joe's Pub!
Undiscovered and beacon, it's not enough to be biologically female on BWW. Or even a real bio girly-girl on the Eddie Varley thread.
I was giving adgal a shout-out for being a real live girl who gets down and dirty with the gay boys on the Eddie Varley thread. Dame might even make you a Hussy for that.
Zola - Dame apparently made me a "four-timing hussy". I've yet to figure out what it means....but I think I'll need a drink before I find out!
You need to have a tray full of cocktails.
By the way what kind of whack-job computer program doesn't let you type out "c o c k t a i l" without making it look like cocktail?
Why don't you PM Rob or Craig and ask?
I'd better start lining up those pommy margs...
(can we call them dicktails?)
