WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET BANNED FROM THIS BOARD?

Exactly how rude, obnoxious, nasty, hurtful, hateful, and vile does an individual's posts need to be before they are banned from this board? IMO, this board is being poorly managed!

Yes... I'm speaking of the one (and thank God only) RodneyK. His posts tonight have been off the hook. He insulted a woman who had lost her husband on 9-11 by bascially telling her to not play the 9-11 card. And that he was tired of all New Yorkers milking the whole 9-11 thing. Just check out his lastest signature. He continues to personally attack whoever doesn't share his juvenile views. I've reported him four times this evening alone to Rob. I received an e-mail from Rob stating that he would be looking into it. That was hours ago. And he continues to post. He also likes to post really vile messages, and then deletes them a few minutes later so as not to get caught by the Admins. I've taken to copying and pasting his posts into mine so as to preserve his "pearls of wisdom" for future review. It's getting really tired though. Enough is Enough! I enjoy this board, but people like him are eventually going to drive me, and others like me, away. And when someone like Margo starts thinking about leaving... well that's just tragic! Something really needs to be done! What with these Admins?

My guess is that they are trying to be fair, to not submit to mob mentality without an "investigation", and quite probably are having private conversations with the offenders to try to work out rules of conduct to allow them to stay. Heavy handed moderation also drives people away, and I am sure they do not want a reputation for that either. Just guessing.

Curtainup, I happen to agree with you about Rodney (although even he has good points, he liked American Dreams!!), he had erased all the messages from this latest thread, but from the replies I saw it must have been pretty vile. Give 'em a little time...

I've had plenty of discussions and debates with the denizens of BWW but have never encountered anything like Rodney. I think he needs some serious counseling.

He's the first person I've ever blocked. His posts are not meant to further a conversation -- they're mean and unnecessarily provocative and nasty.

CurtainUp, quit your noise and block people you don't like. Board rules are up for interpretation. Just because it bothers you doesn't make it a violation of TOS. Stop insulting the administrators and creators of this site. Perhaps your lashing out and insulting of them will get YOU banned. That is a clear cut violation of the guidelines. (Which are "GUIDELINES"!)
