I know there was an open call in August but I don't know how often they have them.
Am I cut out to spend my time this way?

Well, Broadway shows are required to hold auditions every 6 months, Wicked or not. But since it is required, that doesn't always mean they are looking for somebody. They go through the motions to just do it because they have to. Sometimes, they are though. I don't know if they hold auditions in between them, though.

they recently had an audition in Boston.
I'm waiting for the non required (as in, union membership not required) auditions in Chicago if they have any.

Check in backstage....but I haven't seen anything. Also, they're usually just required EPA's meaning they don't see non-union people. Everyone I know who's been in the show(ensemble) got in through agent submissions.
