That's actually the program I'm in. Feel free to PM with any specific questions. If you're looking to gain a solid business background and still take arts and theatre courses, it's terrific. If you've been working in the "biz" for a few years it might not be the best, but still worth it to check out.

i met someone today in my acting class who transfered because he did not like their program. i didn't really talk to him. that's all i know.
i've actually heard very good things about it from other people.
so each his own i guess.

How hard is the musical theater program to get into? like how many incoming freshman do they take and how many apply?

That is one of the schools I'm thinking of applying to...and from what I've heard...it seemed like it could be more of a "safety" for me...but I really need to know more about it.

From what I hear from the performance majors, it's pretty hard to get into. The waitlist is pretty long, I think they only take about 20-25 kids per year.

Oh wow. That's a good one. Wagner does not have any kind of rep in this industry as a quality music school. Hell..even their most famous alumni Randy Graff has unpleasant things to say.

..and judging by some of their graduates..it hasn't changed for the better.

Tuttle, fyi I'm not claiming that Wagner is any sort of a first string program, just that they're at least reasonably selective. I didn't mention anything about the program's merits, just numbers on the incoming class. I haven't been anywhere near involved enough in the theatre program to talk about its quality, so all I've got is what I hear from others.
