Hey everyone,
I am a student at the University of Central Florida and am "creating" a movie version of Wicked for a marketing class. My group members and I would really like to get your input!
As of right now, we are shooting to have the movie come out for the Thanksgiving holiday. Our partners include Sephora and Steve Madden . We've casted Selma Blair as Elphaba, Rachel McAdams as Glinda and Josh Hartnett as Fiyero (other casting yet to be done).
If you have any opinions, whether favorable or negative, please let me know! Also, if you have any input - other stars you'd like to see, places we could advertise, partnerships we could try for, write that down too! We want to hear anything and everything you have to offer!! Thanks everyone!!

This seems like a hypothetical, class project for me. She wouldn't make the film- her project is to promote the hypothetical film- possibly a product creation and sales assignment.

Ok I think some people are confused....let me rephrase this...

We are students at the University of Central Florida in a Marketing Entertainment class. Our job is to promote a movie version of Wicked. Hypothetically, the movie has already been casted: Selma Blair as Elphaba, Rachel McAdams as Galinda and Josh Hartnett as Fiyero and is already in production.

We would really appreciate it if you could give us your feedback as to whether or not you'd even be interested in seeing this movie. Your information will help us decide who we are marketing to and who we are not marketing to. We will also get info as far as, what you'd like to see done with the movie, what you want us to stay away from etc. Basically, anything with substance that you have to say.

This movie is NOT actually being made (not by us at least) - we simply need your personal opinons to help us with the marketing and advertising of it.

Thanks!

Jon

The first thing you need to kow i sthat there is no such word as "casted". The past tense of "cast" is "cast".

"The movie has already been cast".

Well, for starters, I would recast. I ::heart:: Wicked, but I wouldn't see it with those people. I wouldn't believe any of those people in those roles.

I have seen Wicked in the theatre. The Gershwin theatre.

I would never see Wicked with those actors in it. Maybe Rachel McAdams as Nessa. I would try to get as much of the original cast back together for the movie. If Kristin wasn't available I would cast Reese Witherspoon as Glinda.

As I see it, the Wicked (film) dreamcast:

Winona Ryder- Elphaba
Reese Witherspoon- Galinda
Chris Evans- Fiyero
David Kelly- The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Christina Ricci- Nessarose
Joanna Lumley- Madame Morrible
Elijah Wood- Boq
David Hyde Pierce- Dr. Dillamond

I think Christina Ricci might be too scary as Nessarose...but then again, maybe that would put a new and interesting spin on things.
