Saw it this morning and loved it. So funny and clever. I didn't read the book so can't comment on how faithful it is.
I never thought you could have such a whimsical zombie movie, or such a hot zombie in a film. Nicholas Hoult is gorgeous, and makes you slightly uneasy about being so attracted to an undead flesh-eater!
Highly recommended- though if you're going to take someone to the movies on Valentine's hold out till then. This is the PERFECT Valentine's Day movie. Oh, and the soundtrack's awesome too.

I've heard that the book is darker. I've only read the first few chapters, and the character is a bit older.
I loved the movie. How can I get the job where people help foreign-born actors learn an American accent? Nicholas and Teresa did so well.
I liked the use of his voice-overs. It helped the transition from the book being his POV.

We saw this Friday night and I really enjoyed it. It was pretty funny, though I did feel a lot of the jokes were spoiled in the trailers.
Still, good to see John Malkovich slumming it a little :)
