I could swear I've read Whoopi was dubbed in the Sister Act movies. Though on IMDB it says she did all of her own singing.
Anyone know the real deal?

I hope she wasn't dubbed because they spent a lot of money for a voice that had no range.
Whoopi gave a great singing performance in Sister Act, but a great singer she ain't.

You mean, Andrea Robinson, SM2
No, Whoopi did her own singing. Compare it to her verse and a half in "Cinderella."

Sister Mary Robert was dubbed, but that is actually Whoopi singing.
speaking of which, does anyone know is that same woman who sang for Mary Robert sang the part of the mother in the opening of Newsies after the nuns sing their verse? I've always thought they sound very similar.

Thanks, husk. *blush*
Pippin, I don't know about NEWSIES, but Andrea Robinson was the voice of Ariel's mother in ARIEL'S BEGINNING.
