Web Time Machine - - VERY COOL!!

I found this site randomly... I thought it was the neatest thing!
You type in a website that you like/frequent/want to see/isn't around anymore but you miss it, etc.
And it pops up different dates you can go to and see what the site looked like at any given time.
It goes all the way back to 1996. I checked out Playbill.com and saw how different it looked!! You can even navigate through the site as if it was that day (and year!!)
Wanted to share this fun find!

IMsoo, it's just cached versions of web pages. The Way Back Machine just happens to have a really huge cache.

It means they store old versions of web pages as files on their own server. Google, for example, has a cache, but those pages are usually only a few days old- they're from the last Google crawl. If you do a Google search you can see the cache option by most of your search results. If a web page is temporarily down, you can look at the version in Google's cache instead to see it, because it's stored in Google's servers. Get it?

It was cool to look at playbill and see what shows were playing exactly at that time. Neat website. Made me nostalgic for Les Miz and others though.
