Oooh, I just remembered my favourite chocolate bar. Hershey's Max 5. Maybe it's just a Canadian thing... Chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, peanuts, and PRETZELS. Every chocolate bar should add a layer of pretzel. The crunch and the saltiness is DIVINE.

I've never gotten this, but my mom puts salt on ALL her fruit. Watermelon, apples, bananas, melon, peaches...you name it.
To me, that's not only weird, it's immoral.
Allie, those are called Take 5 here. They are wonderfully bad for you and delish!

I discovered them this summer, and have been hooked ever since! Ugh, and I went to the grocery store yesterday, and Hershey bars were all on for 3 for $2. So I have two of these bars sitting on my counter. It's making me anxious.
touchme, my mom puts salt on her apples, too!

Take 5...mmmmm. easily my favorite candy bar.
I put salt on my watermelon. I swear it makes it taste sweeter, my husband thinks it is insane and gross.
either a cinnamon or an everything bagel with chunky peanut butter, honey, bananas, brown sugar, sunflower kernels, margarine.
salt on fruit is actually a good thing because the salt brings out and intensifies the natural sugars in the fruit as well as drawing some of the moisture out.
I do put salt on watermelon and canteloupe. I kinda thought it was a Southern thing.

OOohhh no, Touch me. Salt brings out the flavor of anything sweet. I only put it on Watermelon and Cantelope, but my family put its on anything.
Do you happen to be from the South?

Yup. We're all Texans in my family: We eat weird stuff for lunch and simultaneously talk about what weird thing we'll eat for dinner.
Peach, Herr's potato chips came out in the US with the ketchup potato chips a few years ago. of course I bought out every bag, so that's why there's none left. But seriously, I don't see them around here anymore.
Sliced gherkins and chunky peanut butter on white bread.
banana peppers and ranch on one slice of white bread folded in half.
Ohhhh Allie...Take 5...amazing. That is a genius combination. None of this nougat crap.
...Banana and mayonaise sandwiches. Tell me THAT's not weird.
nah bananas and mayo aint weird, it's just like a fruit salad my mom made me when i was a kid - lettuce, halved pears in syrup, orange segments, sliced bananas, sliced apples, grapes, and a dollop of mayo on top.
All of mine have been mentioned except for tuna, mayo and baked beans all mixed in together. (you cook the baked beans first). Ate chip butties as a kid back home in Belfast all the time. All that starch! Yum! I work for Frito Lay Canada so I have an ENDLESS supply of ketchup (or any other flavour chip)to go with my bread and butter.
I know the combo of hamburgers and ketchup is universal, but I use a half bottle of ketchup on my burger.

I like to add my french fries to my hamburger. Less to do, lol.

Elphaba, I too eat banana sandwiches. It's a thing from when I was little.... my grandma used to make it for me. White toast, lightly buttered with sliced bananna. yum!
I also like an english muffin, toasted with butter and sliced banana :)

Ketchup is a food group, if you ask me. Now I am on a mission to find ketchup chips in the States (if Jane 2 hasn't already gotten them all!)

I like salt and other spices on my foods but, salt on watermelon???
And whats with salt on tomatoes? People I know will eat a tomato like an apple and everytime they take a bite, they put more salt on it.
Gosh- with all these weird combinations I'm beginning to wonder how many people here are pregnant.

Oh yeah I also like having bagels with cream cheese and jelly, really good. Also I like having peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
And Ranch and Ketchup are there own food groups!!
Oh, those chips! I remember at the time, Herr's came out with tons of different flavors all at once. there was ketchup. pickles, some bay seasoning number, and I forget. I literally bought 5 bags at once. Let me know if you find them! Googling may help....
