That's why I love being a pineapple. I figured I could share some spotlight with Raul for a bit.
awww, I've missed out on so much fun... and I have to go to rehearsal now. But never fear! I shall return later to join in. Or I may just be watching RENT... lol. We'll see. *muah!*

Me to Mandi, I don't want to think about it though because then I'll really want to be there. *sigh*
This has been hat I call my "RENT-buy-alot-week". I finally bought Anthony's book on Sunday and the DVD today, so there went about $50-60, but all for good causes.
Same here JK, I actually bought the book on the same day too.

I hate that the Circuit City near my house didn't even know about the calenders. VA = hell.
I loved the commentary, though. And though I won't give anything away, most of it was hilarious. My mom had to keep checking on me because she knew the movie isn't supposed to be that funny.
And btw, is the video of Anthony's soundcheck still up somewhere? Mine stopped working before I watched it.

I just got back too!!! I'm gonna go watch the dvd and I'll be back tomorrow to talk about it. I couldn't be happier right now
Goodnight everyone!
Okay, where to begin. I'm so happy right now. Today was so stressful..I almost didn't end up going. I was supposed to get there at 4, but ended up getting there at 5:45. There was already a good amount of people there, but by the time 7 came there were probably like hundreds of people. I was pretty close compared to the majority of people. Anthony read an excerpt. I don't remember the name of the chapter but it's the one where he describes his first time meeting Adam. I taped the audio because I couldn't see him, but it didn't come out well. You couldn't really hear him and he talked for way too long. He sang part of 'Losing My Religion' (I'm pretty sure anyways, I couldn't hear), and part of 'La Vie Boheme'--at request. People were asking retarded questions like 'why wasn't Daphne Rubin Vega in the cast'. I wanted to headdesk at that one. Oy.
Once the signing got started I literally didn't move for like 45 minutes. It was going so slow. I had the funniest lady behind me. She kept on making comments because everyone was really annoyed at how slow it was moving. She seriously kept me from going insane. I basically made friends with her and her friends. Anthony was really sweet by the time I got up there. I don't even remember what he said to me. I said Hi, How are you? (cause I couldn't think of anything else) and then I said I thought it was nice that he posted on BWW and he said "Oh, thank you.. do you post on that site?" and I said yes and then he asked me what my username was and I told him and he was like "Oh, yeah". I might've said something else after, I don't remember. He let me take a picture, and that was basically it .

Sounds like you had a blast! Yay!
I just finished watching the DVD commentary. All I have to say is, "The hair! The hair!" Hehehe
Just talked to Emcee and apparently the Cutting Room gig still hasn't started. Yikes.
Oh, and that SF Chronicle article- what's with the really extended physical description? You don't normally see that many metaphors outside of Vogue.
Oy vey.. I really wanted to go. They gave out little orange cards for the gig during the signing. I got one of them signed for my friend whose in Puerto Rico right now. I'm going to surprise her with it .
I'm glad someone metioned BWW.COM to him. Thank you Mel.
