Don't worry Mel. When I first found out I had to wear glasses I was SO upset about it. But they really aren't that bad if you get a good pair. If anything, it's nice to have them because when you feel plain it's like another accessory. & If you need them then you'll raelize it's so much better with the glasses, you won't want to take them off. My eye doctor (I forgot what they're called) told me I couldn't have contacts because I don't where my glasses all the time but I think soon I'll probably need them.
I was ten when I got mine, and I have always had to wear them all the time. They're a pain in the Ass. I hate my glasses, I can't get any that fit my face.
I'm quite fond my contacts personally, but I have glasses days too (today being one of them). But I got contacts a year after I got glasses, so to me it doesn't feel any different.
Backbeat the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out
I had to wait until I was almost seventeen before I got contacts, my mom always thought I was too young for them, but took pity on me when I had to get braces.
You haven't even given them a chance yet, and you've already decided you hated them. I hated them basically because I had lived with them for six years, and after having to wear several pairs it became apparent that glasses don't fit my face well. I have the same problems with sunglasses.
