So I've been lurking long enough and decided it was time to register. So of course, my first post had to be in here. My name's Elisabeth and I'm a fairly new Rent fan. My first real exposure to Rent was the movie but within days I had both the movie and OBC recordings and many new links on my favorites list. I immediatly felt a connection to the character Mark so I was interested in learning more about the actor playing him. Little did I know what an interesting person that was. I bought Anthony's book and was blown away, especially by his honesty. I'm so tired of fake actors, it refreshing to find one that's not.
In regards to the picture Silence = Death posted a bit back... I know for me, I find it hard to resist a guy with that kinda look. If he was wearing eye-liner, I'd really be in trouble. But all that aside, I really like that picture, it one of my favorites that I've found. Maybe it's because it's different then most of the pictures out there of him.

To Fantabulous- I used to work as a moderator on a message board and the net slang was insane. I try to be really careful about what I type. Ya'll is probably the only slang I'll use, but that's because it is actually something I say. And I know I can't spell, but that's what spell-check is for.

I found out about Anthony the same way you did. The only difference is that I knew about Rent for a few years before the movie because I had sang Seasons of Love in chorus about...5 years ago. I had always wanted to learn more about it but never got the chance until the movie was being made. I'm so glad that people who haven't had the chance to see the play *like me* are able to get the message because of the movie. And even though I can understand a lot of Roger's character, I was stuck on Mark so I kept looking into the lyrics and everything, until I started looking into the actor. I was amazed to find that he has the same passion in all of his characters and, really, anything that he does. And once I read his book, I had a whole new outlook on...everything, really.

Anthony = Adorable, as always.
