re: Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part two)

Yeah, he definitely looked like Elton John in that picture. Except he has better teeth.

"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?" "Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good." He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?" "Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women." "My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much." The comparison between Anthony and Mr. OC made me giggle so much! I definitely would never have thought of that.

I must say that I love the influx of "decorations" around here. I need something to tide me over until my copy of David Searching gets here. Maybe I'll watch School Ties. I just got it for $5 at Walmart.

(P.S. Anthony is online now. ::insert girlish squee here:: I'm just glad to know that he hasn't entirely disappeared.)

He's probably like "Oh my god, they're on Part 2?!"

Uh, decorations...

Hooray for Hedwig! He never made a cast recording of that, did he? Maybe he'll sing something from it at his signing? *crosses fingers* Seriously, I'd love to hear Origin of Love or Sugar Daddy.

FOA -- I knew he looked like someone in that picture, but I couldn't put my finger on who... it was Ben McKenzie indeed!

Am I the only person that doesn't like Origin of Love? I always end up skipping it so I don't end up falling asleep.

I've actually been spending way too much time this week trying to guess what he's going to sing at the signings. The press release I saw online said that he's going to be singing RENT songs, so . . . Halloween (of course) and ?? (everything else Mark sings has more than one part, unless he's going to branch out to the other characters.)

Thoughts?

He's sung Without You before, so that is a possibility.

I really like Origin of Love, but I'd much rather listen to Wig in a Box or Wicked Little Town.

Too cute...

I can't believe I forgot wig in a box! Shame on me. I actually rrrreally like Origin of Love. So much so that, if I were less of a pansy (and were certain to never have stretch marks), my first choice for a tatoo would be the children of the moon illustration from the movie version.
As for what he's singing, I'm guessing Without You and I'm hoping WYO with audience participation (AKA, I volunteer to sing Roger's part, and he says, "Super!")

I like Tear Me Down, Random Number Generation and An Exquisite Corpse. Some of those songs seriously have put me to sleep and in the wrong situation, that can be bad.

Um, so Anthony. Yay! By OT board standards, he's half as popular as Adam and twice as popular as Raul. And equal to Mojitos. re: Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part two)

That's exactly what I was thinking... now if that were Adam, that bear would be missing an ear by now. re: Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part two)

Did he bite his Broadway Bears bear too? Those things are expensive, I wouldn't want his slobber all over it.

Don't be so judgemental. You don't know Adam's past. Maybe a teddy bear mauled him in his cradle as a baby. re: Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part two)

In celebration of part two, I'm going to listen to all of the Anthony music I have... this could take awhile, not that I have anything but YAGMCB, Rent, and his album. re: Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part two) This could take awhile...

Whoa, when did I become a leading actor? This calls for a celebration! Non-alcoholic, of course.
