Adam and Anthony do look a little alike- if you know to look. If I didn't know they were brothers I wouldn't see it. But wow, 6'3? 0_o
Meh. I hate my computer. It spazzes everytime I try to download the NYTW version of RENT. Maybe it's the link. Anyone wanna PM me something that might download better? *hopeful look*
Well Scooter is muy adoarble! He brings the total cuteness factor of that picture up to epic proportions.
Have you read "Red Light Winter" yet?
aw, I like that picture.
not yet, but yesturday i just finished reading blackbird.
I'm still trying to get my grubby little paws on that one. Along with Nocturne. I devoured Red Light and had it finished the day after I got it. I'm hoping to get to New York to see it again. It is still the most powerful experience I've ever had in a theater. The man can seriously write.
have you read any of his novels?
I haven't, partially because I think they might be a little young for me. I'm 24. But a good story is a good story. Is there one you would specifically recommend?
well the first one i read was "the buffalo tree"
i also recamend "under the wolf under the dog" and "little chicago" and if you like sci fi, "the copper elephant" but they're all good.
and i'm not much younger than you lol i'm 20
I gotta say that I've been meaning to read Little Chicago simply because it's Adam and because it's about Chicago. Now I have to make a Borders run after work today.
alot of his books take place in/around chicago :)
i have a borders gift card that's been yelling at me to order red light winter... they dont sell his books in stores near me. i have to use amazon
I found "Stone Cold Dead Serious" in the store. And they usually have one or two of his novels. but the rest of the plays I'll have to order. I pre-ordered "Red Light" just to make sure. I probably have more luck since I'm in Chicago.
yeah... farmington's a bit behind the times
there is a store that will order any book for you, and then charge an outragous price and i'd rather just order it myself.
Me too. And then I can actually have it delivered to me instead of having to go back to a store to pick it up. The downside to that are the shipping charges. Although I have no problem spending enough money at Borders or Amazon to get free shipping.
i'm probably going down to borders with the gift card just in case before ordering it.
red light winter is the only one i don't have yet... i just love his books/plays.

I love Adam's books. They're practically the only books I can finish and enjoy nowadays.
Me too. I think Red Light has to be seen to be completely appreciated. But it's still terrific in book form as well. It's one of the very few books I own that I would really like to have signed because it has moved me in such a real way. I wish I knew how to make that happen. You'll have to let me know what you think after you read it.
I should probably read some of his books, shouldn't I?
yes read his books!! :)
I didn't especially like The Copper Elephant. I think it was his description of the girl's first period that made me not like it. Red jellyfishes... ugh. But I really liked Little Chicago. Unfortunately, those are the only two my campus library has. And the public library doesn't have any.
i think periods are gross no matter what you describe them as so it didn't bother me much lol
he wrote a movie that's opening in february with will farrel in it.
I'm assuming it's an indie film? If so, that makes me very happy to have our fanulous little indepent movie theater right down the street.
Do you know what it's about?
it was at sundance a while ago.
from imdb.com:
Actress Reese Holden (Deschanel) has been offered a small fortune by a book editor if she can secure for publication the love letters that her father (Harris), a reclusive novelist, wrote to her mother, who has since passed away. Returning to Michigan, Reese finds that an ex-grad student (Warner) and a would-be musician (Ferrell) have moved in with her father, who cares more about his new friends than he does about his own health and well-being.
Aww I love Anthony singing SOL...
And I can't wait for his book.
