Hey peoples-
I just got cast as Graziella in West Side Story. Apparently, she is the lead Jet girl. Does anyone know what this character does? I haven't gotten a hold of the script yet. Also, we have to get our own costumes...which is slightly angering, but does anyone have any suggestions on where to get some good period costumes? Thanks for any help!

It's not a very big role, but she'll be highlighted in a few scenes. The movie has her in Cool, but I can't remember if she is in the stage version -- but I don't think so. She's Riff's girlfriend.
Costume wise, a long pencil skirt with a thick belt and a sweater set (tight) would work well.

Watch the film for costume ideas.
A true pencil skirt may be difficult to dance in. You may need a deep pleat or two so the skirt will also flair as needed, but then return to the pencil shape.
