I hate it when people are late. I just think that it is curtious to call if you are behind schedule, and running late shows that you don't respect the other person/people.
I also hate when people mispronounce my name and put the emphasis on the wrong syllable.
As this is only online and people just type, you all should be ok on these :)

I never realize what a negative, irritable person I am until I come up with this list. Off the top of my head:

- People who screw up they're/there/their, who's/whose, its/it's, alright/all right. ARGH.

- People who say, "This tastes/smells AWFUL! Here! Try it!" Like, why would I?

- People who say "shed-yule" instead of "sked-yule". I know the Brits call it "shed-yule". That doesn't make it right. Next, is "skool" going to be "shool"?

- When I'm writing an exam or I'm someplace really quiet and there's that one goddamn person who's tapping their foot or hand, or jangling their foot, or doing something repetitive that makes a noise. It drives me ape ****. But I think that bugs everyone.

- Bad drivers. It's not just a pet peeve - this warrants a thread on its own. To be specific, drivers who don't signal when changing lanes or turning. It's a common goddamn courtesy. And drivers who drive too slow and STILL drive badly. (I was once in the car with a driver going 30km/hr, drifted over two lanes, ran over a curb, ran a stop sign, missed the turn into the destined parking lot - WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING SO SLOW IF YOU'RE STILL SO CLOSE TO KILLING SOMEONE??) Drivers who pull onto a main road in front of you from a parking lot or side street and nearly cut you off so you have to slam on the brakes, and there's like, no car behind you. Would it kill them to wait?

See, now you've got me all hot, bothered and irritated. I need some ice cream.

Yes, "singers" like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan and Ashlee Simpson. Look, you're a performer, an entertainer - NOT a singer. Just accept it, embrace it, and move on. But don't call yourself a legit singer!

Oh, and celebrities who get plastic surgery and don't admit it.

That said, my normal pet peeves:
-When people say "could of" "should of" etc
-When people say "I did good" or similar.
-When people think they know all about theatre, but have never heard of Sondheim, or consider Mamma Mia! to be the greatest masterpiece since Les Mis.
-When people consider "Send in the Clowns" to be Sondheim's greatest achievement.
-People darting in front of you to steal your place in the queue at a set of traffic lights, then they accelerate REALLY slowly.
-That ALW shows run for more than 500 performances (they deserve no more), whilst many of the great Sondheim masterpieces struggle to hit that, or even a tenth of that.
-Wicked
-Men (straight men usually) being scratching their balls/arse in public, farting in public, belching in public etc...and thinking that it is perfectly polite/acceptable.
-Bigotry and Hypocrisy, namely from certain Right wing political groups.
-Christians that claim to believe in love and tolerance, but are so quick to have certain people removed from their church/not accepted into their church.
-Christians that only quote parts of the Bible that are relevant to their narrow views.
I could go on...

I hate when people laugh at their own jokes, especially when they aren't funny, which is almost always the case.

I, like Chandler Bing, hate when people say 'supposebly' instead of 'supposedly.'

I am/was a figures skater, and it irks me to all hell when people refer to 'synchronized skating' as 'precision skating.' It's soooo 80's people, come on! They officially changed it, stop calling it precision!

Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reily... 'nuff said.

I also hate the really loud and obnoxious kids who were in my Spanish class. Hello, we are in college now... you can stop acting like you're in tenth grade!

I hate when:

1. People are late
2. People are mean for no apparent reason
3. People are not honest
4. People fabricate a situation to make themselves look or sound better.
5. People can't drive
6. People are rude
7. People start S*IT
8. People lie
9. People walk too slow when you need to be somewhere
10.People deliberatly make you feel small to make themselves feel better.

Those definitly have to be the top 10!

1. Despite others on this board, I hate when people are on time. I am always late.

2. The words "tush" and "tummy." Jesus Christ.

3. Their/They're/There

4. "Could of" instead of "could have."

5. Wicked

6. Lara Flynn Boyle

7. Jennifer Lopez

8. People who are un-fabulous

9. Every devout Christian

10. People who think the Bible is anything more than fictional literature

11. The Producers and how f-ing terrible it is.

12. Fat girls/women that wear skin tight/revealing clothing.

13. People who hate Britney Spears.

14. People who claim to be SO MUCH FUN, and love going out and partying. Then when you get there and start having fun, they're tired and want to go home. ALL TALK.

15. People who say they'll call you back, or call you before they go out so we can make plans, then never do.

16. Slow drivers.

17. People who say Colin Farrell is a bad actor because it makes them look "smarter."

18. People who don't wear makeup and should.

19. Girls with happy trails or mustaches.

20. Did I mention Jesus?

21. People who "hate" Paris Hilton.

22. People who wear fur. There's just no need.

I have a few too... but the biggest one at the moment are people wearing real fur coats. PISSES ME OFF! I really would like to kick their arses.

And Munk, I've just read your pet peeves and although I agree with some, you contradict yourself once Number 21 and 22 don't go together. Paris Hilton wears fur coats.

ETA - people who beat animals. I just found out something really sad... but that's not really a pet peeve, that's just f*cking wrong. Oh, well. I'll shut up now.

I honestly don't understand why people think it's cool to skin dozens of animals and wear their carcasses. It's not even attractive.

Agreed Munk... and they are usually worn by these old, ugly women anyway. You hardly see them on beautiful women (unless you ignore the biggest slappers of all time - JLo and Beyonce).

I didn't know your Paris Hilton fact. I just saw a photo of her in a fur coat, not too sure how recent that was though.

They should be shown a video on how these animals get slaughtered I'm getting really aggressive just thinking about it.

I might be mistaken but wasn't Paris Hilton just put on PETA's worst dressed list for wearing fur? I could be wrong - I know PETA's worst dressed list was published everywhere, and Paris is published everywhere so I might be mixed up.

I HATE when people on stage envision a headline from a newspaper or a marquee...
and they use a hand in the air to demonstrate this potential sequence of words...
and the hand moves from stage right to stage left...

English is read from left to right.
They are reading the sign in the wrong direction.

Pay attention.
You'd be shocked how often this error occurs.
I'd say 1 out of 4 shows I attend.
It's insane.

People who stand in doorways. Pick one room or the other, move to a sensible location in the room out of the flow of traffic and GET OUT OF THE WAY.

-People who walk really slow in public places such as the mall, and take up the whole area so that you can't move around them

-Closed-mindedness, especially involving gays

-People who take advantage of their parents (especially their parent's money) and have no appreciation for them/it whatsoever

-Chalkboards. They're messy, sometimes the chalk wont work, and they squeak.

-People who audition for things then don't get cast, and later make up lies and excuses about how they actually were but decided that 'it wasn't worth their time'
