Yep....most folks weren't to concerned when the government started skulking around the Gay Marriage issue because it didn't directly affect them.

Of course...everyone has to face death.

Now, everybody is freaking that "Big Brother" is gonna is get involved in how/when they are allowed to die.

Me and my partner drew up living wills years ago because we had to protect our final wishes.

Kinda ironic that everyone else never thought the government would dare get so up close and personal.

It's s shame that it starting to feel as though you have create legal barriers to protect yourself from your government.

Oh Windy you said a mouthful. There is so much irony here it's staggering: The party of 'smaller government' had time to write and pass a law that effected ONE person. The party of "State's Rights" again overruled the Florida Supreme court ("just this once") and threw a private matter into federal court. The party that vows to "Protect Marriage" is out calling Schiavo's husband a 'potential Scott Peterson.' Ah why do I even go on. I am so sickened by this charade.

I am so glad that when my family had to make a decision like this we were able to do it in private without the Republican's making, literally, a federal case out of it.
