So far, the biggest event of the day has been an outing to Costco. I am bundled up, doing laundry and watching Logo. Anyone wanna join me for a cuddlefest? I am making cocoa.

I just realized that I haven't made a steam pot all season, so I got one going.
You take a big pot--one that we use for making corn-on-the-cob--and fill it with water. Put it on the stove on high heat. Then you get creative and go through your cabinets to find spices and herbs. Put them in the pot and let it boil away. You have to continually replenish the water, but it warms up the house with its steam and scents the air nicely. Incidentally, once it starts boiling you can lower the flame.
My pot is going with vanilla extract and nutmeg. It smells terrific and the house is warm.

I'm currently going stir crazy.
Listening to music, sitting on here and taking a break from the afghan I've been crocheting. Yes, you read that correctly.
I think after I post this I'm heading back to my room though, popping in the First Wives Club, and continuing to work on my afghan.

DollyPop: I have done that before using vanilla, cloves, ginger and cinnamon. It is delightful. I have been simmering split pea soup since this morning in my crockpot and that aroma is also nice.

Well I had 4 inches of snow when I woke up yesterday morning. By night fall it was down to about 1/2 of an inch. It has been flurrying all day, but no real accumulation. I wish I had the snow that you guys had.

Just got in from dancing in the snow while shovelling.
Had the iPod on. Shovel a few feet, stop for a few dance moves, shovel a few more feet and dance some more. I'm on a corner, there's a lot to shovel.
