I'm reading The Gunslinger by Stephen King. Like 20 pages left. My mom found it while cleaning her room, and I was out of library books. Of course, she doesn't have the rest of the series, so next library trip I'll have to decide whether to continue in that direction or give it some time and grab something impressively scholarly or literary.

Go Down, Moses and Light in August by William Faulkner
The Women of Brewster Place by Gloria Naylor

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Predator's Gold by Philip Reeve. It's a while since I read this series, and I forgot how breath-takingly brilliant it is.

Currently reading Ken Follett's "The Pillars of the Earth."

That reminds me...the only Ken Follett book I really loved and couldn't put down was Night Over Water. I'm shocked it's never been made into a feature film. I really need to read it again.

"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
