1996 Pontiac Grand AM . . . It's a piece of sh*t.
I almost bought a Lexus coupe a few years ago which sounded verys similar to what you describe when I was looking for a new car, but they sold it before I could make an offer (cheap and under blue book, drat).
I ended up getting a new Solara coupe that is very similar to the Lexus coupe, but not quite the same as the Lexus coupe.
But, I like my car, so I guess all is OK in the world.
2004 Honda Element... Sandstone Mica, I think.

96 Subaru Legacy.
The nice things about Subarus is that my car doesn't look 10 years old since the modifivations to the car have been minimal.
when I get my liscence, my opa is giving me his '77 corvette stingray with red racing stripes.
So the Lexus thing didn't pan out (my friend's parents want her to keep it as a "bumper car" for her to practice on until she gets her licence, and then they'll buy her yet another new vehicle) so I test drove the Honda Fit and the Honda Civic Coupe LX today. For the price of a Honda Fit Sport, I may as well get a 2006 Civic Sedan DX or DX-G. It seems like everyone here with Civics has been raving about them - what have been the negatives so far? It looks like it's pretty good on gas (36mpg on the city/50mpg on the hwy) and it's around 140hp. What I really want to know is how much maintenance has been needed and how it is on city and highway driving.
