What kind of car do you drive and do you like it?

I'm looking for cars on eBay right now and I'm looking at a Passat. I really want it, but I probably won't have enough to get it. It's my dream (semi-realistic) car.

My friend who I was driving home today noticed a Sequoia and oo-ed at it and I asked, "Is that what you want for your first car?" and she said yes--and I asked, "Aren't they expensive?" and she told me she's getting 15,000 from her grandparents...and some more from her parents. Ridiculous--for a first car. I can understand giving like 10,000--that's very generous, but in my city, the majority of kids' first cars here are more than 20k, I'd guess.

This was like a question and a rant. lol

I drive a Ford Freestar, and I love it. Of course, you wouldn't want that car, Parks. Look into a Saturn.

Mitsubishi Endeavor

Sort of. It's not mine, it's technically my dad's car, but he's driving his old car right now because my sister and I need a car for the summer and his old car is stick, so we get this one. My parents won't give us anything though, they both bought their first cars by themselves, so they're making us do the same.

It's an SUV, but it's Japanese, so it gets pretty good gas mileage for an SUV.

I looked at a Saturn yesterday, actually. There is only 1 for sale within 200 miles of me on eBay, which was pretty crazy.

and my brother had a budget of 3k for his first 3 cars too--I think my dad has realized it's not a good idea to spend that little on a car. Not because it's not the nicest car, but because those cars tend to have several problems and need lots of repairs which add up to what you could have bought a newer, better car with.

Why are you only looking on EBAY?

I drive a Mercury Mountaineer and unless you have oodles of money to pump into gas I wouldn't advise getting one. I really want a Land Rover Discovery or a Ford Escape. My fiance wants a Jetta like there's no tomorrow.

Ford Contour. Yuck. I don't advise it. But I'm not complaining- I have a car.

I drive a lime green VW Beetle and LOVE IT. I named it Philbert (yes, with a PH and not an F) because it reminds me of Filbert from Rocko's Modern Life.

Well, I'd suggest a Saturn dealer over Ebay.

eBay just seems like the cheapest place to look. I've looked in other places before--not very much, though. eBay is just where I've been looking recently.

2004 Honda Civic. GREAT car, I got it for Christmas when I was 16, in 2003 - not a single problem yet. Great gas mileage, and apparently has an awesome trade-in value.

Thank you!!! E-bay for a car...?

I drive a '98 Toyota Camery. It was my dad's old car and he gave it to me and he bought a new one.

I don't see anything at all wrong with ebaying for a car. sure a dealership might be a better idea, but ebaying for one sounds perfectly reasonable as well.

I have a Passat and I love it. If you can't afford one, have you considered a Jetta?

Are Jettas much cheaper? I thought they were about the same (on eBay they are atleast).

Buying them new, Jettas are less expensive. They are smaller than the Passats.
