What kinda shoes should guys wear...?

Curious what kinda shoes to wear...

I personally have started to stray away from sneakers, even simple casual ones (normal k-swiss) to boots. I personally love my timberlands (the normal tan kind) and I am starting to like boots and bootlike looking shoes. They aren't really fancy, but aren't exactly casual, especially dark colored boots.

So what do you guys think?

Stick with the boots? Go sneakers (if so, what kind)? Dress shoes?

I'm really talking casual here...

I'm thinking of getting a pair of dark brown timberlands so I'll have light and dark ones, so dark clothes - darkbrown and obviously light clothes - tan. I'll have them forever since these have last like over a year and are perfectly fine, they are made damn well.

Anywayz, enough typin for me... I'll post lol.

I love my Steve Maddens. They're comfortable, cute, and cheap. I don't really own boots - I have a pair of Doc Martins in my closet, in my grandparents house, but that's about it. They're leather, so I don't feel bad wearing them to more upscale places (Maggionos, for exampe).. Even though they're "sneakers".

So the boot or that more dressy style shoe is better, rather than the really casual sneaker? (edit* cuz steve maddens aren't sneakers, right??) Unless you are going to go running or play a sport... than sneakers would be better.

So yea, I dunno... I'm just starting to change my clothing style drastically and I wasn't sure what would fit. I used to be very hip-hop (dunno what i was thinking) now the pants i have are like half the damn size, as are the shirts lol and I dress mcuh more normally haha. But yea, wanan know where to go shoewise.

I decided to go more JCrew over the weekend instead of Hollister. For any of you who work at the JCrew at Valley Fair in San Jose, CA, you'll remember me.

Hopefully Luliet (my hairstylist) will give me a hairstyle that will allow me to throw my hats away.

maybe try a pair of dressier sneakers, i absolutely love boys with a pair of Diesels, but also the new Lacoste sneakers are really cute for boys too.

TheHumanTorch- I think we have the same taste in footwear.

#1 Shoe:
Jaykid, these shoes would look great with a cute tennis skirt or a pair of cute khaki Bahama shorts. Maybe for the first day of school. Your first appearance is key.

#2 Shoe:
Now, these would be fun for school-casual during mid-week or maybe for the pep rally. Rah! Rah! Goooooo Trojans!

#3 Shoe:
Great for the bus ride home. Coordination with the bus is key!

You can never go wrong with a pair of Rainbow sandals. I love mine, and a lot of guys I know wear them too. They have this memory cell stuff in them so they conform to your feet, and only your feet, so they are super comfortable, and so very very durable. Plus: If they break you can trade them in for a new pair, guaranteed, and its free. Just as long as the little white strip is still there. Ive worn mine everyday for the last 7 months. No kidding, I love them sooo much.

I have a pair of Diesels.. I got them in June. I haven't worn them since June since they've already started to tear apart. Don't buy diesel shoes. The jeans are fine... but the shoes.. NO!

I almost forgot.

You can never go wrong with a fine pair of cowboy boots. They go great with a nice pair of worn, yet still snug, jeans!

Those will be the talk of the school!!!

(Granted, I would never buy the boots in the picture- but a nice plain pair can be worn at family reunions AND formal events!)

white running shoes are less than fashionable, but there are some really great sneakers that ARE fashionable and look awesome.

I like cowboys. Unfortunately they're overly trendy and scary now. :/ It really depends on your look, and what you're going for. The boots work for the fall/winter...but are you wearing boots now? There's always exceptions.

Cowboy boots can be worn all year.

They're not like white pants or fur coats.

Afterall, cowboys do herd cattle and stuff all year. Do you think they were tennis shoes during the summah?

lol everyone seems to be assuming cowboy boots.
I would never wear cowboy boots. I just like timberlands... and the normal boot (not super high cowboys lol) not as extreme. Or dressyish looking shoes, I suck with names, but not boots and not dressy sneakers like diesels, the same casual/dressy look. Bascially a step or so down from the dressy shoes you wear with suits.

And I hate summer clothes... hate them, I have worn sandals once in my life, don't like them. I never wear shorts either... I just like jeans and pants really. I love winter clothing... so maybe that's why I'm going more towards the boot or dressier style shoes cuz I like winter clothes, rather than super casual summer clothes like shorts, and sandals and stuff.

And diesels are cool for sneakers, that's more of the look I guess I'm going for the, nicer looking sneakers, not white, grey and blue running sneakers that don't seem to go with anything you wear. It seems tan, brown and black go with more clothes, the nice solid color, simple looking shoe.

I dunno, but curious if girls like the dressy/casual type shoe tho... that's basically what I'm asking, cuz I am leaning towards that unless you all think a more casual look is better, I dunno.

I'm jsut confused lol...
