Funny ckeaton...I was just wondering the same thing this morning. Why do people say "The OFFICIAL This" or "The OFFICIAL That" ?????????????????? Who says it's official and why??? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, exactly, like the Karen Ziemba thread is not "official," which makes me wonder if perhaps I shouldn't have been posting on it? Does that make it unauthorized in some way?

I started "The Official Matt_G Appreciation Thread" a couple of months ago, and that was deleted before the day was through.
Why are these nonsense threads up?
And why on Earth have they invaded the off-topic board?
