The worst place I ever lived was the back of an old station wagon. We eventually moved into a roach and mouse infested housing project. It was terrible but, it was indoors and had heat.

Los Angeles. Great place to visit, TERRIBLE place to live, especially if you're poor. I wouldn't reccomend moving there if you like to breathe. The pollution problem is so bad I had to carry around an inhaler some days.

"This is what I trained to do, and this is what I love about theater. What I love about being an actress is being able to really look into myself and understand another human being. And out my own self, to shape and form and fashion a real human being--and to present that in such a way that people see something of themselves or their own understanding in that human being." --Phylicia Rashad

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Silver Lake, Wisconsin.

I grew up in various cities in Wisconsin and loved it but the year in Silver Lake was frightening. Very much like the movie "The Deliverance"

After getting our nice two story house we learned that the former owner had committed suicide in the living room (right where our Christmas tree was), the house next door had seven children -- all products of in breeding, there were dead deer strapped to the hoods of many cars, and during recess the deaf student at my school got hit by a train. (yes, there were train tracks in our schoolyard.)

In a hotel for 6 weeks after our kitchen caught on fire... my dad decided that would be a perfect time to walk out on us!

oh my.....this ridiculous place in Karlsruhe, in the then West Germany, was like a hobbit warren, cubbyholes, mice......ugh...in the middle of a field, and I had to purchase heating oil to heat the place.....ARRGH!

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956
