I CAN'T STAND IT!

Over and over and over and over and over the same posts!

"Anyone have a script for _______?"
"When does Idina leave?"
"What's a good audition song for ______?"
"What's your favorite show turned into a movie?"
"What is your favorite movie turned into musical?"
"Best showtune ever???"
"Anyone have a Tony Awards tape?"
"NEXT season...?"
"Do you think Brooklyn or Spamalot will get Best Musical?"
"Your first Broadway show?"
"Your worst Broadway show?"

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's going on? Geez, that list of topics is way more diverse than what we had when I first joined. Back then it was all about "Idina's latest booger" or some such thing.

It's normal to get repeats, but not within FIVE minutes of each other!

Just yesterday, on the SAME page of posts, there were five different topics for script requests, and on this same page, two posts asking when Idina was going to leave and one post linking to a news article on when Idina was leaving.

I think we've been invaded by shills and 10 year old kids!

Does anyone know if Idina removes her green makeup every day or leaves it on all the time so she doesn't have to waste valuable vocal warm-up time reapplying for every show?

I think I read something about the steam shower, so it is possible that she removes it after every show otherwise it would run into her eyes and then she wouldn't be able to see. And it would also interfere with her yoga class so I do think she removes it. With cold cream maybe? Sorry I couldn't be a bigger help.

this is very true. i'm relatively new to the board and i became addicted this summer. i read more than i post. but lately it's awfully repetative and frustrating so i've stopped checking as frequently. i know i'm not one to talk but just expressing that i agree with you.

I think I caught the tail end of the BWW "Golden Age" when I joined about 6 months ago. Since then, it's slowly progressed to shill and repetative posts. I miss the days of the majority of posts being very insightful and interesting, while still maintaining that fun side. Maybe it's a cycle and we'll see the BWW "Golden Age" again?

And could you tell me why they would be asking for audition songs? A lot of the shills and immature people are 18+...

I DO agree that it is a lot different than when I first joined. These kind of threads have scared away the intelligent folks...we need to balance them out. The only way to change BWW is for us to start posting these kind of threads...just saying the it has changed is not going to do a thing.

Yes, it would definitely help to discuss PETER PAN. The show is rarely talked about. We had some recent discussion, but it ended quickly.

The problem definitely is not that there isn't enough intellectual posts. Its that users don't scroll down to read the recent posts, and they don't look at the next one or two pages. If they took the time to do this, they would see topics that they were about to start.

As for myself, I have my share of intellectual and fun posts, but I never repeat anything.
