What's with Dutchess County?

Does anyone here live there? I swear, every time there's a weather warning on the bottom of my tv screen, it's for Dutchess County. Is there really a place or do they use that name to avoid getting the weather wrong?

I don't know what state you are from, but there's a Dutchess County in New York. Hyde Park and Rhinebeck are in Dutchess County. It also has one of the best county fairs.

I live in Manhattan, Gotham. I was kidding about never hearing of Dutchess County-the joke is that every time there's a weather warning, it's for that county.
