Laura Linney is to film what Raul Esparza is to Broadway. *BEAMING* with talent and turns every performance into something intricate and new. Ms. Linney, like Mr. Esparza, should already have buckets of awards at home. She should be the most sought out actress in Hollywood. If there is any justice in Hollywood, which I really question at this point, she'll win an Oscar soon. She deserved it for YOU CAN COUNT ON ME the year that Julia Roberts won because she was Julia Roberts. Academy voters just need to start voting for talent and not for who's the prettiest and most popular.

Posted: 9/7/06 at 1:17amMichelle Pfeiffer has made some real stinkers since her last nomination for Love Field, but I’d be thrilled to see her score an Oscar with a great comeback role (I love Jessica Tandy as much as the next person, but Michelle deserved that award for Fabulous Baker Boys!).

While Julianne Moore is a good actress, she has done some terrible movies.
Kate & Laura are both incredibly talented actresses. While I feel both are worthy of an Oscar, Laura Linney seems to be much more "under-appreciated" by the general public compared to Kate. With the sucess of Titanic Kate Winslet's name will always be out there, while Laura is just as fantastic but lesser known. I really hope that Laura wins one soon.

it's a film that discusses diana's death from the inside.
it would mean that mirren won an emmy for playing Elizabeth I and an oscar for playing Elizabeth II in the same year.
