How is center orchestra row B? I'm sure it would be too close for a lot of people, but I usually love to be as close as possible.

Brilliant Missed Casting Opportunities

Sutton could still do Mattress, she's barely into her early 30s and still reads in her 20s. She's 36. As much as I love her, I don't think looks in her 20s.

Next to Normal Philly last night?

Jennifer is too statuesque, too gorgeous. You have no doubt she'll turn out alright. Right, because beautiful people never have real problems. I loved Emma as Natalie, but Meghann Fahy remains my favorite. I also really loved Asa as Dan. He's actually my favorite vocally and his acting destroyed me.

Alice Ripley proving a tad elusive

She hasn't missed any shows in St. Paul thus far. I saw her. Her voice sounded pretty good for the most part, and her acting was the best I'd seen from her since 2009. It was once again more about Diana and less about Alice, not vice versa, which was it had become.

Goggles, The concert was incredible. She was in great voice and she chose a good mix of covers and original songs. She sang with such passion and it was very powerful experience.

It's unfortunate that she's missing a lot of shows, but she did sound great at her recent concert. Much better than she'd sounded in a while.

Best times to catch Ripley (and not Pearl) in the N2N Tour

Apr 30, 2011 — 6:41:10 PM

Sorry, it won't let me edit my previous post. Everything was definitely sped up. The tension in the transition between It's Gonna Be Good (Reprise) and Why Stay/A Promise was gone because there was no silence. It didn't work. With the exception of Shannon Ford (the drummer Ripley's husband), I found the musicians to be significantly weaker than on Broadway.
