What video format can I use to add movies from my library to my IPOD?

Does anybody have any idea what format is needed? It seems like every time I try to add a video file to my IPOD (No matter what the format), the video is rejected.

Any help is appreciated.

Most converters have an iPod conversion choice. Regular MP4 files WON'T work.

The free converter in Cats's link will also convert YouTube files to iPod files.
