I remember her very well, MM...she died a while ago. I LOVED her in Cross Creek as the inspiration for The Yearling.

She was heartbreaking in Cross Creek. That birthday scene!

Pamelyn Ferdin!
Holy crap, I hadn't thought about her in ages. She did a lot of voice work, too. Lucy for "Peanuts" and Fern for "Charlotte's Web."
And she guest-starred on everything. According to IMDb.com, she quit the biz and became a nurse. She's also an animal rights activist and was even jailed for carrying an elephant hook at a protest against the mistreatment of circus animals.
Go, Pam!
... and doodle, you'll love that she was heavily in the running to play Regan in "The Exorcist."
Come to think of it, she reminds me just a bit of Linda Blair (or at least did, when they were both kids).

Pamelyn Ferdin was the Trudi Ames of the 70s, but more prolific. Which oddly reminds me...I loved Lynette Winter in the Gidget series. "Oh, Larue..."

Unless I missed a post, no one has mentioned Stella Stevens.

Nah, just her son Andrew.
Speaking of The Exorcist a few notches up, whatever happened to Kitty Winn? She was so great in "Panic in Needle Park," and then played Sharon in the first two Exorcist movies, and then ...

Gwen Welles, whose Sueleen Gay in NASHVILLE is one of the great performances in movies.
Not so much a "whatever happened to?" more like a "remember her?"
