Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?

Hot or not?

All the talk of old TV made me miss the show. Did anyone ever play the game?

Has anyone played "Where in time is Carmen San Diego?"

I just remembered this annoying level with Christopher Columbus. You had to navigate to America, which takes about 10 minutes (I had no patience back then!), and you thought that it was done- and you had to go BACK! Arggh. I hated that level.

I loved to play Where in Time is Carmen San Diego.
I HATED that level. I had no navigation skills at all, and it usually took me about an hour.

Hot or Not? Very hot. re: Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?

This was one of the greatest shows on TV. Where in Time just wasn't the same...

I love those singing guys, I remember all those songs.

I had where in Time, where in the World, where in the USA... Where in Time was definitely the hardest for me, and USA the easiest. When I got very frustrated with Time I would go to USA and if I ever got frustrated with that, I would just start playing The Oregon Trail.

They don't make computer games like they used to...

I tried to play along on TV when it was on....I remember it being really hard...but I liked the giant map they had to walk on at the end.

Lynn Thigpen used to be in the show (also of Godspell and The Division fame) and has since passed.

Thinking of this show makes me think fondly of Lynn...a wonderful person and underrated actress.

Ahh, Rockapella.

Yes, I watched the show.
And I played the game... on a Macintosh computer.
I was not very good at winning the game.
It took my years to learn that if you made a mistake, you had to go BACK to where you came from.
I would just keep going forward, and end up getting the call from the Chief saying that my time was up and that I had to return to headquarters.

Some of those criminals were so funny.
I spent a lot of time just checking out the Dossiers.
And then they did the fun stuff like throw cats and shoot themselves out of cannons when you were on the right track.
Brilliance.
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

I used to be completely obsessed with the TV show and the computer game. I was such a cool kid.

Loved the computer game. God I thought that was cool. The TV show was ok, but the game was always my favorite.

WHO SAID OREGON TRAIL?

I loved that game! I played it way too often, and was pretty good. Though sometimes everyone got cholera, which sucked.

I loved Carmen San Diego!! That used to be my favorite show!

As for Oregon Trail, I used to name all the people names of people I hated, then I'd make them have miserable experiences. Or I'd name them people I liked, then hoped they made it Oregon.hehe.

Oh dear lord! The singing people on "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego"!! I still remember the end of the song before they went to commercial We're on the case, and we're chasing her through history!"

Does anyone remember, on the tv show, that in the final round they had to put little plunger-like things on a huuuuge map that they walked on?? AH! I miss it..

I loved the Carmen SanDiego game. I agree with LadyG, that Christopher Columbus level was a ... um, was not fun.

I loved the Oregon Trail too! But I always felt guilty about the hunting. I know it's not real but I couldn't help it. I never shot the bears or deer because I couldn't carry all the meat back. I just stuck with taking potshots at bunny rabbits and birds. :)

Lol. I loved hunting in the Oregon Trail.

I always felt that it was too easy because the buffalo was enough food and they were SO easy to kill.

re: Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?

I always ran out of fruits and veggies.

Either that, or the taking potshots came back to haunt me. I always got either a)shot by someone *accidentally* (yeah right, they just couldn't believe there was someone around in that time period who wouldn't shoot a deer) or b) attacked by a mountain lion (that would usually kill me 90% of the time).

But other than that, I usually have a hight success rating!

re: Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?

I remember being SO shocked when I learned about her history

SPOILER. re: Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?

That she used to be the top agent at the ACME agency, so she got tired of it, quit, and became a criminal.
