Are you referring to John Stephens? If so...
I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he had no business being on television, let alone on a singing competition. Simon should be punished for letting him on.

John Stevens is back home in Buffalo, NY.
He is the featured soloist at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's Holiday Pops under the baton of Maestro Marvin Hamlisch.
