I agree with Laura Linney. She's one of the few actresses who is willing to take risks. And, she is not afraid to shed her glamorous image and look normal (albeit, "not pretty" by Hollywood's standards). Other than her, Kathleen Turner, naturally.

Joaquin Phoenix NEEDS an Oscar.


And since Justin Kirk got f**ked with the Golden Globes for Angels in America, give him an Oscar. He's freaking amazing. Also, Mary Louise Parker and Leonardo DiCaprio.

And I think they should just give an Oscar to Al Pacino every year. He's by far my favorite actor.

Oo, I like the Billy Crudup was mentioned. He's a fantastic actor, he just needs the right script and I'm sure he'll get one.

And +1 for Annette Benning and Ian McKellan. They both need Oscars, STAT!

I hope the people mentioned above actually win for a good performance and not a make-up award. I'm so sick of those because it always robs the deserving actor his/her award and then the robbed person gets awarded later for a mediocre performance, which continues the vicious cycle.

I'm usually not big on Ed Norton, but yea, I would have given him one for American History X. He blew me away.

Another vote here for Laura Linney. Love her!

But Annette Benning is my absolute first choice for actor who most deserves an Oscar right NOW!
