Reid's or Clinton's?
Both were incredibly mean spirited & demeaning .
LOL! LIke you care Roxy. Gee, where were you when Rush was playing Barack the magic Negro? Roxy, you are a hypocrite and no one is buying this fake outrage of yours like you are disturbed and concerned. If it were a Republican you would saying us Dems are hyper sensitive. You are a pathetic hypocrite!
Well, How about this Roxy

I can show you racist signs at Tea Party Gatherings and at at the 2008 Republican convention. I can give you about a dozen other examples of Republican racism if you like,so go on and beat this dead horse. When it comes to racism and Republicans I would think you of all people would stay clear on this topic.

Clinton's by far. But there you go with your Eeyore mentality again. Why not "Which remark was better?" The answer would be Reid's but not by much. Perhaps, however, if you try that kind of framing device for your threads (glass half full rather than empty and leaking) you might not come across so negative all the time. Look how it helped when you looked at your cancelled trip from an angle other than wanting to assassinate American Airlines.
Which post is worse
One that asks a question without linking to what they heck they are talking about
or One that asks a question to which they've provided information presenting the sides of the discussion
I personally think Reid's was worse. Yes, Clinton's was made as an insult, while Reid's was a compliment, but Clinton's may not have been racially implied, but rather experience implied, while Reid's was a purely racial comment.

I know this is out of character, but I don't think Roxy should be jumped on for this issue. He recently saw David Mamet's "Race" and I think he has found that it jumpstarted his thinking on the issue. I expect this is the first in what promises to be a regular thing from Rox regardless of the incident that gains national traction. I am sure if Rush Limbaugh or any of those other folks make racially questionable statements like Reid's or Clinton's from here on out we can expect Roxy to start threads about those too.
A play like Mamet's is a real consciousness-raiser and no doubt it was cause for some deep relfection on Roxy's part. I look forward to his interrogating the issue of race in this country from every angle from here on out.
Hmmmmm. Well, I'd like to hear Roxy give us his thoughts on some Republican racial slurs as well as Clinton's and Reid's.Has anyone told Roxy that it was Reid who was chief encourager of Obama's Presidential run? Al Sharpton was asked yesterday on Ed Shultz show about Harry Reid and he said he has known him for years and he is not a racist at all.
Rush Limbaugh said something disgusting today regarding this statement. He said something very similar to what Reid said and had to thrown in Ted Kennedy for good measures. I'd like to hear Roxy add Rush's comment to the others.
Which remark was worse? Reid's, Clinton's or Limbaugh's.

There is always, ALWAYS a black person somewhere who will tell the cameras and microphones that a given white person is "not racist at all." You know, like RuPaul assuring us Shirley Q. Liquor was not racist. What Reid said was racist.
Now, from here on out Roxy will be critiquing people from every spot on the political spectrum who say something racially dicey. Watch. It'll happen. Art has a way of opening minds.
Who's more racist: Harry Reid or Shirley Q Liquor?

"Which Obama Remark Was Worse?"
I thought this about which of HIS remarks was worse - and for me there's no contest:
"You can't take God out of the mix."

Sometimes with liberals you have to review the same issue again and again. Maybe this time it will sink in.
Rush Limbaugh did not create "Barack the Magic Negro." It was an idea that he picked up from gay writer David Ehrenstein. The parody song was written as Al Sharpton singing it because he was mad that Obama got the nomination instead of him.
Additionally, Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. He can't actually sign into law any legislation, like Harry Reid can. Limbaugh's only control over anyone's life is if you have a radio and decide to tune it into his show to listen.

I was also thinking along those lines and that we'd be seeing some clips like the 57 states remark:

Well, if you want to knit pick Obama's mild blunders vs the numerous Bushism, let me know. I have pages upon pages to provide your viewing pleasure.
Well Goth, you seem to ignore the politicians I posted with racist ties. What about them? They CAN sign laws into legislation. Reid has apologized sincerely and Obama has accepted it with grace, but an apology will not satisfy people like you and the tea party nuts. RUsh did not create the Barack the magic Negro but he promoted the hell out of it. Did you hear his racist comments yesterday? No, Rush is not a politician but none of the Cowards in the GOP will denounce his hate speech and are terrified to even hint at criticizing him.
Goth, you started this thread not because you were offended or even upset about racism. If that were true you would have started other threads where Republicans said similar things. If your criticism was more fair and balanced I would be right there by your side.

The examples are literally endless. So, your attempt to paint the Democrats as a party of Racist is as desperate as this thread is.Harry Reid was a pivotal force behind Obama running for President and here you are grasping at straws trying your best to make him out as this racist.Good luck!

WHA? That makes no sense....
I think you meant to say that Limbaugh's has no control over anyone's life. The only influence he may have are over those that decide to tune into his show to listen.

I think the worst remark about Obama was from the Teabaggers who rallied in Washington with signs saying "We Came Unarmed...This Time."

Actually I didn't start this thread. I'm just made a comment on the thread.
It's useless to get into a pissing match with you because you raise nonsense issues. Let's not forget all of Joe Biden's racist remarks.
However, I think Harry Reid's comment was racist because he specifically used the term Negro. Only racist white people use that term.
And let's not forget that Obama's mother was white, which makes Reid's comment even more stupid.

So,basically you admit Rush is a racist.
You are so hung up on Reid's comments but seem to give other more obvious examples of racism in the GOP a free pass.Tell me again how you are not a hypocrite?
Interesting: "In the last census count a decade ago, 56,175 respondents wrote in the term 'Negro' in response to the question of race," says that article on the census.
White racists every one, I assume.
coon is still ok, eight?
