It's kind of unfair for me to say this because I've only been acting for about two years and because I kind of brought it upon myself because I managed to screw up every single audition I've done this year. (For example, for the musical auditions, I got so nervous that I walked to a podium as if I were going to be giving a speech.)
But still...I just feel like I haven't really shown anyone what I can really do. Anyone else in this same position?

I really haven't auditioned for much (Damn you hometown) but the times I auditioned for stuff in College, I had everything down perfectly, but when I got on stage the energy was there, but I was so nervous that I screwed up notes and missed portions of dialogue.

I've been out of the scene for a while (sort of took a hiatus when I was in college), so I am just getting back in to it, and haven't had a lot of opportunity thus far. But I did a lot of regional stuff prior to college and found myself getting typecast frequently. Very frustrating. I think I have a pretty broad range and I'd love the chance to utilize it. I've been purposely audition with groups I've never worked with before and for directors who have never seen me before in hopes that I won't fall back into the niche I was in before.
