I just discovered this CD yesterday after doing research on the Dresden Dolls, who I like a lot. I downloaded the CD and I have listened to each song 2 or 3 or... 7 times (this is the case with Oasis). I love her voice and her sound. Anyone else a fan of Amanda Palmer?

I'm in major love with this woman (and The Dresden Dolls in general). She's freaking brilliant.

For a second I thought this was about Twin Peaks.
Then I had to slap myself on the forehead.........THAT'S LAURA PALMER......duh.

I'm afraid I missed the first thread, Namo!
I'll have to download the Dresden Dolls 2 other CDs (I bought No, Virginia... this summer). I have some songs from their first CD, but that's it! I started watching videos of them performing live yesterday too--I wish I could see them in concert! Hopefully they'll end their hiatus before too long. They look amazing.
Oh--and I found the video for Oasis (which has been removed from YouTube for some reason), and it is HILARIOUS and disturbing!

Welcome to the dark side! It all does downhill (or up, since it is the Dolls). I'm glad you like them though.. their style isn't for everyone.
Edit: Also- speaking of the hiatus, Amanda and Brian did a show together as The Dresden Dolls for the first time in a while last night in D.C. for the Inauguration. I'm hopeful this is a sign they may start working together again!
