Liotte; No I wont be in Vegas. Got to wait for it to warm up a little. Brd.. my resolutions this year are more of the spiritual nature. I am also trying ( but failing) to not be such a bitch.
Ps. Sorry.. I know that was a old question. But it popped up when I went to read the last message and just noticed it was old.
I'll still be in Vegas first weekend in October. And in LA for the week before that.
ohh
Not october. April.
As in, I'll be in LA in 2 weeks.

This site is goofy today, I see that DAME posted, but it does not appear! How stealth of you Dame!
Brd.. How is life treating you?

Not too bad! Kids are well, a little spoiled I might say. A short-term financial issue at the firm is stressful, but we should work through it soon. Mrs. Brd is fine. Teaching lots of fitness classes.
And your new firm is successful??
Well.. If you define successful as surviving in these times.. then yes.

Do you have much overhead? We have too much unused space!
Not that much. I do spend a lot of time driving between studios.. and that is my biggest expense. One of our shows moved to the 20th Century Fox lot and it is a weekly pain in the *ss.

Do you still have the judge?
Yes. 3 of them. How is the Mrs and her career doing?

Mrs. Brd's career is dead. I think only 6 auditions last year. One this year. She still refuses to do monologues so does not do stage auditions.
It gets very hard for women as they age. Maybe new representation with a new outlook on things?

She most definately needs a new agent or agents. The problem is that she has now committed to more afternoon fitness classes which is money in the bank! I am going to work on her to seek a new agent - maybe in June when the kids are out of school.
She remain fit and quite sexy.
How about you? Any shows lately?

Hmm, I saw Million Dollar Quartet here which is opening in NY soon. I enjoyed it. I really do not care for the era of music. Addams Family - lauged my ass off! Merry Widow at the Lyric - boring, but fun to go to the opera. I have tix next week for Figaro. I missed In the Heights earlier in the year. Billy Elliot opens soon.
I had heard Adams family is good. Even though the vicious yentas on this site have been tearing it apart. Heights is a very mediocre yet entertaining show. You didn't miss much. We just saw Dreamgirls last week and it was a very weird and mediocre production. Poor casting, stunning visuals and poor choreography. The audience was also a pain. Cell phones and texting everywhere. It is getting so out of hand that I might stop going to the theatre for a while. It is just to much money to be sitting there irritated.

A few years ago we took some clients to a very nice dinner and then to Jersey Boys. During the show my partner and his wife spoke to each other full voice and his wife was TEXTING. I about had a heart attack!
Ugh.. I just can't understand how people can be so self centered and rude.

I am planning a mojito for Saturday night, we are going away for the weekend with our two best friends (gay, but not a couple) and a little lime and mint is needed!
L, are you in mourning? DD, what up? GH, still down under? Dame, any new projects. Mrs. Brd is currently without an agent!!!!

"gay, but not a couple"
Get back to us after the weekend.
No mourning here, just summer! Not at camp this year, doing a lot of travel though. Going to be in Vegas next weekend. Cruise end of summer. Was in NH for a wedding a couple weeks ago, down on Eastern Shore of VA for a couple days last week.
What's new with you all?

Q, LOL! Not gonna happen, they fight more than a couple, maybe later in their years!
L, C16 drives the others to and fro and is the DD from a family party. She has grown up so much this summer and really is a great asset to us. C15 is in drivers' education this summer and not much else. C12 is having the summer of his life, he gets up, has some cereal and jumps on his bike and hangs out with his various friends for hours - lacrosse, video, etc. Mrs. Brd is working now as a personal trainer along with her other duties. Despite the very stressful summer, it has been overall positive!!!
Nice to see you all. Hope you are all having a nice summer.
