My friend from India taught me a way to make tea that sends you floating through the heavens. I must start making it again...now that I will be home for a long time.

Posted: 8/29/06 at 2:16amI always need a vacation after a vacation! I actually never come back from vacation the Sunday before I go back to work. Usually I come back Saturday to have Sunday to prepare, and it's been a long trip (2 weeks+) I shoot for a Friday return (or Saturday if Monday is a holiday).

Our original departure date from Michigan was thursday, Aug. 24, but when your kids are spending time with their 103-year-old great-grandmother--who also happens to be a remarkable and loving woman--it's hard to leave. So we kept extending...until yesterday when we HAD TO leave because school started today.
I love Grandma Ida. She's my role model.

My parents could have been your parents' parents! 
My father is 79! He is blind, but in pretty good shape. The usual heart, blood sugar problems.

I think my grandpa is about 78 or 79. Grandma is actually stepgrandma, so she is still young- 70 or so.
