Dame - Do you know anything about the "DAME tour" of Chicago that was mentioned earlier in this thread? People said I should look into it for my weekend in Chicago.

The following is Dame’s Walking Tour of Chicago Loop buildings. This must be taken during business hours as some buildings may be closed. This is a limited tour of some of Chicago’s finest buildings.
1. Marshall Field’s
State and Washington.
Lunch will be in the Walnut Room on the Seventh Floor.
Make sure that you see all four corners of the first floor and the ceilings.
Stop by the Mertz’ Apothocary for some fine soap.
Exit on Washington and proceed South on State Street
2. Carson Pirie Scott
Madison and State
Buy some Cologne for Day Dreamer
Proceed South on State Street to Monroe
3. Palmer House
Monroe and State
See the Main Lobby by entering on Monroe and proceeding up the stairs.
Proceed West on Monroe
Note Brown Street sign citing this block as Bob Fosse Way
Show Jazz Hands to other tourists.
The Future LaSalle Bank Theatre will be on the North side of the street.
Wish that you would have seen Spamelot like I did.
4. Chase Plaza (Formerly Bank One Plaza)
Dearborn and Madison
Go down and see the Fountain and also Chagall’s mosaic
Proceed South on Dearborn
5. Marquette Building
140 South Dearborn.
The details in this lobby are quite interesting
Note the new sleek modern building across the street 131 South Dearborn.
Proceed South on Dearborn and you will see the various
Federal buildings and Plaza.
(Carry a sign for the legalization of 420)
Continue South on Dearborn to Jackson
6. Monadnock Building
53 West Jackson
This is a Chicago treasure. You will need to Google this.
Proceed West on Jackson.
Note the Union League Club as you pass by.
7. Chicago Board of Trade
141 W. Jackson Blvd.
Art Deco at its finest.
As you proceed North on LaSalle you can step into the
Bank of America and see if you can get up to the second floor lobby.
(Act like a Banker)
8. Rookery Building
209 S. LaSalle St
Wright’s lobby is outstanding
Proceed North on LaSalle and cross the Street to
9. Chase Building
120 South LaSalle Street
Take the escalator to the second floor lobby (You will see why)
10 39 South LaSalle
I do not know the name of this building.
Proceed North on LaSalle
11. City Hall
Washington and LaSalle.
I find the detail of the various lobbies interesting.
Proceed North on LaSalle – at Randolph –
Look West to the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
12. Thompson Center
Randolph and LaSalle
This Glass building is an eyesore to some and a treasure to others.
Proceed East on Randolph
Note Daley Center and Daley Plaza – Climb on Picasso
13. Oriental Theater
24 West Randolph
See Wicked
Proceed East to State Street and Turn South to Washington
14. Reliance Building (Burnham Hotel)
32 N. State Street
Have a Cocktail at the Atwood Café as tour ends.

Thanks Girly and Dame - That is terrific info...the whole thread has great information. I will print it out and take it with me. Now I need more time. Now I have to get some things done so we can actually leave.
My best friend (aka FidoRock) took the tour when he was in Chicago last year and thought it was wonderful.

Back from the burbs. My car battery died, but I was able to have it replaced without any problem.
brd... I've passed that tour on to several people. You should copy right (sp) it and sell it.
