So funny story. I was going to go into the theatre tonight to rehearse a scene for a class and the door was locked when it was supposd to be open. I get the bright idea to go see if the lift for people who can't use the stairs due to disability is open because it was the next closest entrance to try. So the girl I am rehearsing with and I go in this three foot by three foot lift to see if we can get up into the theatre by using it.
Now I've had many experiences with these type of lifts before but never this particular one. Because of this I should have known to not even think about stepping in it when they really should be reserved only for people who actually need it. I fail to notice the sign outside the door saying authorized use only and we get inside the lift and try pushing the button. It doesn't do anything then I think to myself "Duh, it is key operated. I should know better."
We go to open the door and it is locked. It let us get in, but not out. We can't open it from the inside. We are stuck. We try our cell phones. No reception.
Luckily some fellow group members walked by fairly quickly and we shouted to them. I have a feeling I am never going to live it down. I have already given my other group members permission to give me hell about it until I graduate. Sometimes you just do really stupid things.
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...
