I assume you did not see our moderator Jose?
Miss P, I emailed you links yesterday!!
2 weeks from tomorrow is Legally Blonde!!!
I did not, brd. I was in, I was out, and back home.
Govich's outfit was HIDEOUS. The handkerchief hem, the cut-out, the gathered bidoce, the pleats. It's like the designer took every BAD fashion design component and purposely stuck it on the dress! And the shoes were AWFUL!!!
I had no idea who she was. Didn't like the dress though. No clue what her shoes were like either.
I spent most of the first half after Beth Leavel performed trying to figure out where I heard her sing that song before. It was Broadway Unplugged.
Fine. We'll agree to disagree.
Surabaya Santa -- Songs For A New World, Jason Robert Brown.
I knew what the song was, it was just bugging me that I knew I had seen her do the exact same performance recently and couldn't place where it was.
Ah, okay. Fair enough.
I'm eating grapes. Extremely exciting. L & O is on though, thank goodness. I almost had to go to sleep!
Love that song. I'm seeing Jason Robert Brown when I am in New York. I am looking forward to it.
He definitely puts on a show.

The Santa is not one of my favorites from such a great score.
She does a good performance of it, very funny.
I do love Songs for a New World.

Tink: It was great, thanks! Watched The Station Agent. Ate a lot of food. Lounged in bed. Huzzah!
Beth Leavel is remarkable.
Brd -- I'm definitely with you on that one.
Beth Leavel scares the sh*t out of me.

Erika should be Beth's replacement when she leaves DROWSEY.
Why does Beth Leavel SCARE you, Shira?

DG, of course Erika is much younger!
I don't know, Miss P. She's just a little TOO nutty for my taste.
Ooh, Erika would be brilliant. Even if she is too young.
I am so partial to Beth because in REAL LIFE, she is one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving human beings. And she is not "nutty" at all (in REAL LIFE, I mean.)
All I know is what I see. I'm sure she's lovely in person.
It affects my perspective of people for all time if I actually get to know them. For example, years ago I spent an evening with Charo who is NOTHING like her "act," so from then on whenever I saw her, I realized what a really talented actress she was actually was!

Charo is also a brilliant guitarist.
And Erika might be physically young, but she has a natural maturity on stage that would fit the role - and she absolutely gets the comedic sensibility involved. Besides - and I admit that I could be COMPLETELY wrong about this - but I get the feeling that Erika would play an 80-year old if it meant taking over a Tony-winning role on Broadway
You know what else, DG? Charo is an ELEGANT woman. Very gentile...but also warm and open.
