My method of getting wrinkles out is:
Hang up your clothes in the bathroom and take a hot shower -- the steam usually takes care of it!
My mother feels like fainting when she visits because I never iron my clothes.
She irons everything. EVERYTHING.
Good morning!
DD - oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that! Hubby had his prize car stolen and smashed, so he feels your pain! I hope everything works out ok. If you find the culprits I'll come to WA and beat them up!
Ironing? I do ironing about once a month. I wait for the pile to get big enough and go to town.
No one is really in the office today, so it's peaceful so far.
I just sat outside of Spring Awakening for 2 hours waiting for rush tickets. I cannot feel my fingers and toes anymore.
You chose to do this on the coldest day of the week, lol! It is supposed to be in high 40's the rest of the week! =)

Guys, I am in AGONY. I'm just sitting here, waiting for it to be 8am, so I can call the Dentist's office and see if they happen to be there today - which I know they probably won't, since it's President's Day. God, this HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
=( Erika, I am sooo sorry. I wish there was something I could do. I've been in that situation before. I know here each dentist usually has a 24 hour emergency contact, so that at least maybe they can perscribe you pain killers to take until an appt. I don't know your insurance policy, but can you contact another dentist for this instance if yours is not open?
When all else fails going to the hospital can get you temporary relief, but I know no one actually wants to go sit at the hospital.

Sadly, I don't have any - nor would it do me much good. The dentists actually offered me a prescription for Vicodin, but I didn't accept, as that particular drug makes me very sick to my stomach. *sigh* All I've got are two measley "Tylenol with Codeine" pills left.
I have the same reaction to Vicodin. When I got my wisdom teeth out, I took it, so being sick to my stomach was not good right after having all those teeth pulled. Plus I had mono at the time as well. That was a miserable month.
Hope that you feel better, Erika!!!

Tink: Sorry; didn't see your post. Yes, my insurance would allow me to go to another dentist, but I'd rather wait until tomorrow AM and see the man who pulled the tooth. Perhaps I can get more meds, though, as you suggested. That's a good idea. And thanks for the sympathy. It's really awful.
Liotte: Thanks, girl! And yeah, that sounds pretty damn sucky. A whole month? UGH!
The Vicodin worked good for me, it was the perocet that actually made me so sick I had to go to the hospital. Tylenol #3 are useless for mouth pain, I don't know why they bother. The only time it worked for me was when I had toe surgery.
You could always resort to large amounts of alcohol! =) j/k i really hope they are open today Erika!

They're open! Unfortunately, they can't squeze me in until later this afternoon (2pm - almost 6 hours from now - ugh), but I think I can hang on until then.
Wish me luck!

Liotte - just wanted to say that I saw you in line for Spring Awakening tickets this morning, although I realized it after you walked away from us! I was thinking, "Wow, that person looks familiar..." and then put your name to your face. I'm sorry that my friend was a bit rude to you when you asked when we arrived. Hope you got the seats you wanted. Personally I think getting up at 6:30 AM for tickets on a frigid day is insane, but my friend insisted as she's in town for only a couple days.
Erika - Let us know how the appt. goes!
You ladies are crazy! But I admire that!
I booked tickets to Pirates of Penzance at the NYC opera last night. A friend's girlfriend actually really wanted to go, so it worked out nicely. Now I need to get tickets to a regular non musical play and I'll be set in my trying to break out of the normal goal. I also got tickets to the last performance, so that'll be a new experience also.
Ouch! Sorry to hear, Erika.
I would join the chorus of "you ladies are crazy," but not after I stood in line for 3 hours in the cold to get tickets for A Chorus Line.
Goodmorning..
Erika.. do you go to Dr Battan like all the theater queens?

DAME - I don't even know who Dr. Battan is, so I guess I'm not theater-y enough. :-P
DD - Thanks! And thanks for the advice (PM).

But you ARE enough of a queen!

DAME - it dawned on me what you were asking about the theatre - yes, the Wadsworth is the bigger of the two (the one right off Wilshire.) The Brentwood is the one that's up the hill into the property.
And the Boyz are mildly diverting. A one note premise that they never get overly creative with. But all-in-all, the guys are talented enough, and you'll at least smile and chuckle a few times, I think.
DG - did you just see Altar Boyz? I just saw them last week.
Good news - my insurance includes free rental for up to 30 days. Granted, it's a little thing, but still. I totally forgot I had that.
I like the Wadsworth -- goodness knows I spent WAY too much time in the V.A as a shortcut between my house and Brentwood.
This makes me miss LA -- and the people in it.
DD - that's good to hear that you are not left immobile in the inbetween!
