It makes me really sad, as well. Do you remember the music video? I guess it's also one of those song that attached itself to a very particular period of time, for me.

I was reminded of how much I liked Drops of Jupiter when someone sang it on AI recently, even though he butchered it.

I vaguely remember it, but not much. Another song that always made me sad was Graduation by Vitamin C.

Drop of Jupiter is a beautiful song. I also love Calling All Angels by the same band.

Me. Too. But that was more about the fact that you were "supposed" to be sappy and everyone was all sobby about it, even though... we were only in junior high?

The music video for Everything You Want is fairly literal, so it's sad.

Yeah, that came out in 1999 as well. There was a lot of good songs that year, like Slide and Black Balloon by the Goo Goo Dolls, (who I love). All The Small Things by Blink 182 came out that year. You Get What You Give by the New Radicals came out that year. Pretty Fly For a White Guy (love that song), Mambo #5, My Own Worst Enemy by Lit, Steal My Sunshine, Every Morning by Sugar Ray, and All Star by Smashmouth also came out, to name a few. And also, Save Tonight, Little Black Backpack, and Hangin Around by Counting Crows.

On another note, songs that never fail to make me sad are Sarah McLachlan songs. Do What You Have To Do, Aida, I Will Remember You, Angel, and Full of Grace are all so said. Building a Mystery by Sarah isn't sad, but it's a beautiful song.

I never, ever, ever understood the Blink 182 craze, partially because I was still intent on hating everything that my brother likes. But even now, I'm like ".... this is good?"

Mambo Number Five is a lot of fun. Had to say it. And I'l admit to liking Sugar Ray, sometimes. In small doses.

I can't decide how I feel about Sarah McLachlan. Overrated, even though she's good.

Her more unknown songs are amazing. Full of Grace, Do What You Have To Do, and Building a Mystery are definitely my favorites. The same with Sugar Ray. His lesser known songs are better.

I love All The Small Things. I don't know why, but I always have. That's also one of my favorite songs.

1. Train, who did "Meet Virginia", "Drops of Jupiter" and "Calling All Angels" is still together. They released a song called "Cab" recently that I really love.

2. The Rembrandts. Oh, how I love the Rembrandts LP. There are some lyrics on there that I adore, such as,"You say I don't have a leg to stand on/So it's a good thing I've got two/But if I had only one leg to stand on/That's exactly what I'd do." There is a song called "April 29" that I always loved, and by coincidence it happens to be the date that I started dating my present boyfriend.

3. LEN - Steal My Sunshine

4. Samantha Mumba - Dance with Me

5. Khandi - "Don't Think I'm Not"

I didn't know Samantha Mumba sang "Dance With Me". I think I remember that song, was that the one where they said "lets make love and dance the night away"? Didn't Samantha Mumba star in that Time Machine remake?

Whoops. Samantha Mumba sang "Gotta Tell You"
"Dance with Me" was Debelah Morgan.

And yes, it's the same Samantha Mumba from the Time Machine remake.

I didn't think it was Samantha Mumba, but the only thing I could remember about the girl who sang it was that her name started with a D. Either way I loved that song when it came out.
