What about Dream Street? I had huge crushes on Jesse McCartney and Greg Raposo. Well, they split up over some legal issues, and Greg and Jesse both got uglier.

Luckily i missed the abomination that was Dreamstreet.
Lol - I used to be obsessed for awhile. They're music sucked now that I think about it, but hey, I was a young...they were hot! I had the CD, DVD, and I even bought a magazine dedicated to them.
S club 7!
I used to watch that TV on Fox Family (now ABC fanily), i loved them.
i also was into Step and B*witched.
Also, what was the name of that two girl group who had the song that went like:
"Mirror mirror hanging on the wall
you don't have to tell me who's the biggest fool of all..."
or somehting like that.
They were cool for a while.
M2M! I forgot about them.
I got backstage passes to a Dreamstreet concert when I was younger, and Jesse McCartney kissed me on the cheek. I practically had a heart attack.

I used to like M2M especially "Mirror, Mirror"
I remember I used to be like Play and No Secrets. I remember buying the Play album off TV and got a CD holder, Magazine, and a DVD which I still have.
I also used to be on the No Secrets Street Team and actually got a signed poster from it!
I remember Dream.
He loves me.......loves you not.
P!NK was in Innocense, but they broke up when she went solo
VIP anyone? "Just my luck. shes got someone else in mind, just my luck it happens all the time, does it have to be this way for me? HELL YEA cause its just my luck!"
M2M-I loved them. I used to sing "Mirror, Mirror" with my friends in third grade. I still listen to them sometimes. I loved them. I still sort of do.
S Club 7-For about 3ish (maybe more) years they were my absolute favorite band. I think they had 4 or 5 tv shows, and I think I saw every single one. I remember when they broke up and became S Club I was so sad(turns out one guy was a drug addict). Now they have a new S Club 8 in England(new kids, "casted", because there is a TV show, by the originals).
A*Teens-I loved them. I make fun of myself for that now.
Brooke Allison-I actually saw her in a mall before she became big. It was cool.
B*Witched-C'EST LA VIE! That's all.
Tiana-I recently got the theme song stuck in my head and looked it up and all the memories again.
Edens Crush-Wow I had a huge obsession with them, and I watched the show every week. It was just a tad depressing when they broke up/disappeared.
Wow, I'm a child of the 90s/00s(how do you say that?)
and, sorry for the short brief sentances, I just got off a plane and I'm still really tired.

I had to go pull out my Eden's Crush CD after this, and I'm listening to it now actually.
My friends and I used to love S Club 7 and have both of their CDs. Didn't two of them get busted for drug posession or something though?
Also, I looked through my old CDs, and who remembers 3LW and Nobody's Angel, Stroke 9, Eve 6, and Lit? I still listen to Lit a lot, I love them.
aww Velvet Empire-God I loved them, but now I cant remember any of thier songs, but I do remember being excited because Ryan is from where I live. McDonalds? Aww

I remember 3LW (they guest starred on Tiana as blue mascara, and I have no clue why I remember that) and Nobody's Angel, but I don't recognize any of the other ones you mentioned.
yeah, I remember 3LW(and two of them are now Cheetah Girls) and Nobody's angel, but I don't know the other two.
I liked Eden's Crush, I still listen to my B-witched cds, I didn't see much of a deal with DREAM, since their lead singer had an irritating voice. I LOVED M2M.
Marion Raven (long hair one) actually has her own cd out and it's really good. Marit, the blonde guitar chick has hers out internationally, too.
Never into Dreamstreet, or any of those other third rate groups.
Anyone remember Hoku?

I remember when 3LW wasn't as popular didn't one of the girls quit and they had to replace her?
I was just scanning the thread, and I saw the B*witched album cover. Can I admit that I still kind of enjoy their first album?

Lit sang "Ziplock", "My Own Worst Enemy", and "I'm Not Sick But I'm Not Well", to name a few.
Stroke 9 sang "Little Black Backpack".
Eve 6 sang "Inside Out", "Here's to the Night", and "Think Twice".
I didn't know the 3LW girls were in the Cheetah Girls, but the last thing they did besides that was a rap song that was on the Off The Hook CD I think.
I don't think anyone has mentioned LFO yet. They get the prize for the worst lyrics ever, such as: "New Kids On The Block had a bunch of hits, chinese food makes me sick, and I think it's fly when the girls stop by for the summer..."
And don't worry Em, I still like them too, especially their song "Jesse Hold On".

LFO! the song about the girls who wear Abercrombie and Fitch, right? hah. I own that CD single.
Little Black Backpack is REALLY catchy.
Wow. I totally forgot about a lot of these groups.
I LOVED B*witched for a while there.

Heh, I have a lot of their songs on the various Now and Totally Hits CDs that I own.
And it is catchy, but really thinking about the lyrics, they are also bad: "Don't want to tango with you, I'd rather tango with him, I think I'm gonna bash his head in. This shouldn't concern you except that, just don't expect to get your bloody black backpack back".

Isn't that the whole premise of emo/alternative? Catchy-yet-morbid?

I guess so, but that song was out before the whole Emo craze. It was a 90s song.
I'm thinking about some more artists now, such as: Eagle Eye Cherry, Evan and Jaron, Aqua, All Saints, Vertical Horizon, Fastball, Everclear, Barenaked Ladies, Fatboy Slim, The New Radicals, and Semisonic.

BroomstickBoy, I remember her, her dad sang the tiny bubbles song and her song was on the "snowday" soundtrack
My popular music timeline is admittedly not very good, but is it really that old? And if it is, craze has gotta start somewhere. It's all about the underground becoming popular.
The Barenaked Ladies had some good stuff. There's one Eagle Eye Cherry song that's really evocative, for some reason -- you know how you can often relate a song to one specific time period or event in your life? I can't remember the name of the song, though. Save Tonight? Maybe?
ETA -- Hoku's song on the Snowday soundtrack is ALSO really catchy.

Yup, it was Save Tonight, one of my favorite songs ever :)
And I don't think emo got really popular until around 2002, but I don't know, I tend to listen to older music anyway.
Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon always makes me sad for some reason. It came out in 99 I think, and listening to it always makes me want to go back to that time.
