.....at the beginning of the season The Jets would be in the playoffs & the Giants would not. After the Eagles debacle, the Giants were finished & had put a finishing touch on their normal December choke.
I harbor no hope the Jets will go deep in the playoffs but at least they are there. Maybe next year.

Roxy -- here in the Mid-west, the Bears/Packers game was on. It was the only time ever I was pulling for 'da Bears.
But the New York Football Giants had their chance. The collapse vs. the Eagles was unexcusable. Such teams are not playoff-worthy.
Maybe I will have 2 (count 'em, 2) beers tonight. OK, 6.

Since they are technically both NY teams, I root for both.

The NFL playoff system is a joke. The 7-9 Seahawks not only get in, they host a game against the 12-4 Saints, while the 10-6 Giants and Bucs and done for the year. That said, the Giants have no one to blame but themselves. They found ways to lose games this year that would make the Jets proud.
While the Jets have looked good the last three weeks, if they don't get their pass defense cleaned up immediately, they can't get far in the playoffs. However, though the Colts have been better of late, they're not the intimidating force they once were, and upsetting them in Indy would be a huge win for the Jets.
